'19 CA LB Henry To'oto'o (Tennessee Signee)

Pickens and To'oto'o ain't coming. This is a decent class, and could end up being the best we've had in a long time, but saying it's better than that 2010 or 2014 class before any of them ever play a down is ridiculous. Those classes had some of the greatest players in school history, and this one is highlighted by 2 linemen and a guy with a history of injuries that will be playing a position he's basically never played before
We didn’t know what the 2010 and 2014 classes would do either. Looking back and comparing yes those were good classes. But we may look back in 4 years and say this is the class that turned it around. It may not. We will have to wait for the answer.

About half of the players in our signing class will be rated lower than our class average. That is unacceptable!

Am I doing this right?

If you add a lower rated player, you change the average for the class. But that doesn't make the other, say, 23 players in the class worse. You still have them whether or not the lowest ever sees the field. Recruiting rankings are simply people converting their opinions to numbers. That doesn't make them any more accurate.

Honestly i don’t think he missed on pappoe... pappoe wanted to come to Tennessee but his family was bought by auburn so he had to do what they wanted him to do
AV says TN ‘competes’ so why didn’t he add $1 to their offer then?

Not everyone is bought btw

Who honestly cares about where the boys come from? If they’re a good player Idc where they lived. If that happens to be in Tennessee great but if it means we win I couldn’t care less
If you are at program with lots of instate talent recruiting is exponentially easier. UGA has a based of good players who will only go to UGA no matter who the coach is or how poorly their program is doing. UT doesn't have that.

That’s got to be one of the most irrelevant and unintelligible statements I’ve ever read.

Neither do you. I'm being realistic not a "jackwagon". To'oto'o and Pickens don't seem to be trending towards Tennessee right now so saying they aren't coming here isn't really a stretch
Yeah. Speaking in definitive terms about something like that... is being a jackwagon and especially when you do it to get under the skin of other people.

Nothing "dishonest" about it.

The point is they have loads of instate talent while UT does not.
Agree, Mullen falls out of bed on a 4 star. That said, middle TN is booming and in 10 years will be a true hotbed of talent, already have quite a few targets there, only to grow. Having the Titans there really helps, get those NFL kids. FL should never Not have a top 10 class, just shows how great Phil was at recruiting getting elite classes, Pruitt is of the same cloth, natural at being a good salesman.

Cam Newton whole heartedly agrees.
So that means the other 84 did as well? All I’m saying is AV is the one saying TN buys players now, not me. IF that is true, it’s a legit question, IF AU offered Pappoe a deal, why didn’t TN match?

FTR, don’t think Pappoe was on the take and Lord knows I DO believe AU does pay some kids.

It IS odd, however, that a lot of recruiting sites and folks had Pappoe as a lock to flip and at the last minute they wouldn't let CJP back in their house...don't you think? There was some sort of funny business there, for sure...whether it was money or not, who knows. I'm sure every school offers "benefits" to players but a sudden, drastic change like that warrants some scrutiny. Doesn't look like we were given the opportunity to match.

edit: I also think Pappoe might end up here if/when Gus gets canned in the next year or two.

There are some lengths that auburn will go to that other teams will not. Look how many times they've been investigated, penalized, etc. I'm not saying every kid on their team has been paid.

If you had read the silly discussion that preceded it, you might see the relevance and it would make more sense. We had, among other things, someone who seemed to be advocating turning away a player because he would pull our average class ranking down.
