My curiosity with this is that there actually was no Poland at the time of Alexander. Did the brochure maybe say Epirius instead? I know his mother was from Epirius, as her father was at one time the king there. Epirius would be located today in northwest Greece and maybe some of southern Albania, as following WWI the Allies redistributed a lot of the Balkan lands that had been under Ottoman control. I had always understood that Alexander was born in Pella, but if the Greeks say he was born elsewhere I would not argue, but Epirius seems more likely to me than what was considered the barbaric lands of northern Europe at the time.

Well, if there was no Poland, then where did the Sherpas carry Alexander from after the Great Tiber Flood?

Hmmm, knew I shouldn't have gone to starboard in the bottom half of the hour... dead giveaway every time.

But of course, who could forget how Alexander the Great defeated the greatest enemy of his time, Napoleon. It was truly a remarkable battle when the Spartans held off the Red Coats at the Battle of Gettysburg, 1967 AD. Can't wait to see that inscription on the top of Greece Tower this Fall! Lol

It's called the Macedon Tower, for the record. Be sure to take the tour. Ask for Spyros, he's the best tour guide, also goes by Junior.
