'18 CA QB JT Shrout (UT signee)

Looked pretty similar to Trevor Lawrence to my untrained eye. Can anyone who knows more than me (pretty low bar) compare the two?

D4H doesn't actually know anything about the technical part of the game, he just enjoys highlight videos and buzzwords.

He didn't even understand what a 1 technique or 3 technique DT was until he head Warren Sapp mention it on TV and he googled how they're different. Really. Like, he admitted to that.

Then he tried to come on here and lecture people who actually played football and played those positions about how they're different.

Dude is either a world class troll, or deeply delusional.

So in 1 day Vol Nation has compared this kid to Peyton, Favre, and Rodgers based on one HIGHLIGHT video.

Don't ever change guys!

Hell every tall, white QB with a great arm gets compared to Peyton around here lol. We don't need another Peyton. Just give us a QB with some height who can make all the throws, is accurate, has some intelligence, doesn't turn the ball over regularly, isn't a statue, can beat Ala, Fla, Ga and get us atleast competing for the occasional NC and bowls that aren't in Shreveport, Birmingham or Nashville.

I bet you’re a blast to hang out with

Oh I am, but I can point out our fan base being ridiculous when we are.

Look, I get it. We lost 2 QB commits in a day. Our QB play last year was one of the worst in the country. We are hungry and excited for our new coach.

But lets be realistic. This kid wont be Peyton. He wont be Favre. He wont be Rodgers. Hopefully we can get him and he can become an All-SEC QB and lead us to championships.

Anyone else think that it sounds like his HS goes for it all on every down? 13/48 for 3 TDS and 4 ints sounds like it lol

More like Marino now that I think about it

Watched Marino in HS and in college. Nothing like Marino. Nowhere near the quick release like Marino had. Still, he's good enough to take a chance with since the staff is in scramble mode with this years class. Beggars can't be choosers. Sign and develop. Hope for a diamond in the rough.

Mix in a little Warner, Moon, Namath, Theisman, Young, Staubach, Aikman and Tarkenton and I think we’re right on target.

None of those guys on their own are quite as good as Shrout. But combined they come close
