That’s not how it works. You are not factoring in many other positions on the team. Let’s assume we can buy an OL. That’s great. Can we buy the WRa, TEs, RBs, DL, LBs and DBs to win it all? The answer to that is no. At least not in 3-4 years.

I do think with Nico and some other really elite pieces, we could contend for the East and possibly win it. But remember, Smart isn’t going anywhere. And he likely will be getting 5*s all over the field as well.

So realistically what’s your expectations for Nico here? Say he stays 3 years. What’s your expectations?

Well we have actually, we just paid our freshmen RB, we literally have 4* receivers flooded in our room, and we're one of the hottest teams in recruiting right now. Oh and spyre went from hoping 3 mill to 25 million so I honestly think we'll be ok

I think we will be fine as well. I just don’t see a scenario that we can win a NC even with Nico.

This is true, the caveat is a coach can get fired easier now. If nico makes 8 mill and he flames heupels heads on the block. This honestly makes this whole situation around college football spicy

I recall reading somewhere not too long ago that Tennessee was willing to float around that $8M mark. I was probably on here but I can remember.

But has every other blue blood been through what we have? I know you used Saban but let’s be honest, he is a complete anomaly. I think we would need 4 straight too 5 classes. I think at that point we would have enough.

I mean look at who we are up against. Bama and UGA. They are gonna be higher than us every year in recruiting. So say we have 4 straight classes ranked #5. That means Bama and UGA will have top 1-3 classes in those years.

I just don’t think you realize how far we have actually fallen.

LSU didn’t have 5 straight years of top 5. Elite QB along with some elite skill players and pass rushers can get you there. We will always be better on offense than UGA

Yeah...Theres at least 3 programs right now that are way ahead of us from a talent perspective.

So recruiting 2-4 classes at the same level as those programs just gets is even with those programs.

I think it's important to remember that here.

Which is why I think it's ludacris to start the expectations talk before we've signed one lol
