I mean, they basically purchased a Call Option on Nico for 350k.If Spyre is handing out $350K with no strings attached, they need to immediately be removed as a source for TN NIL.
The $8 mil is forfeited…that’s it. Nico’s family had a lawyer involved in this. You try to strong-arm a value with representation? You fall flat. We don’t get to this point with those tactics.Sure, you can't tie it to a school but when you sign an NIL contract and receive $$$, you sign your rights to NIL away, exclusively ( at least that's the way it should be). He can sign and play for any team but he couldn't receive NIL from another organization.
It's not someone else's money. If you've contributed to Spyre, it is your money. If they gave $350K to a recruit with no strings attached, I'll never give another dollar. It's absolutely stupid to do that.I assume you have and completely misunderstood it? I’m going off what’s being reported. It’s clear and upfront. Why are you hung up on $350k or somebody else’s money?
You put it into a pot it’s not yours anymore. You ever try to pull a dollar out of one of those collection jars or Salvation Army buckets after you’ve reconsidered? It's not someone else's money. If you've contributed to Spyre, it is your money. If they gave $350K to a recruit with no strings attached, I'll never give another dollar. It's absolutely stupid to do that.
It was reported by I believe AP himself that the 350k is nonrefundable and that its a show of faith and has no obligations to any school. They said that if Nico wanted to work other schools for the 350k he could. It's not someone else's money. If you've contributed to Spyre, it is your money. If they gave $350K to a recruit with no strings attached, I'll never give another dollar. It's absolutely stupid to do that.
