Nah, dude. Christians' main focus is faith. Believe in Christ and He'll absolve you of your sins. You don't actually have to be Christlike. It's not the most important thing. Just believe in Him and you'll be fine. That's the main focus of Christianity.

I'm saying Christians' focus should be on the first and second great commandments. Love God with all thy heart, might, mind, and strength. Everything else falls into line after that. You shouldn't even need the second commandment, which is like unto it, because if you love God with all your heart, then you will also love his children (your neighbor) with all your heart. This should be the lesson every Sunday, but we got Old Testament to cover, for some reason.

Pretend you're from the best family that ever existed...the family most worthy of your love. Pretend every gay or trans person is your actual brother/sister who hasn't wronged you. That's what Christians would be doing if being Christlike were their focus.

Faith alone will never save Christians.

So one assumes these people are Christian in first place, or asks them to be Christlike if they are not even Christian.
If one wants to be Christlike one must accept truth of wrongdoing as well.

Well, most believe that to be the case, right?

I have a problem with that in the first place...one might consider it a selfish endeavor to make faith for the sake of personal salvation the main focus of your spirituality. However, I admit that maybe my own brand of spirituality is a selfish endeavor. My focus (that I fail at) is to be happy and nice. That's pretty much it. I am happiest when I'm nice and charitable, etc. so am I doing good things for my own benefit or am I doing it altruistically? IDK. I guess it's just splitting hairs, but what makes me sad about some of the Christians in my life is that they are pretty miserable people because they are so salvation-driven that they didn't enjoy this life. I'm not saying all are like this. Most seem happy. But I know enough that it's made an impression. I had a neighbor who was 70, an old maid, and a difficult person, but in good health telling me she was just waiting for the Lord to take her. I have an Aunt who is that way, who is failing to mend relationships with her kids and siblings. They're just waiting on a paradise that may or may not come.

Not me. Action is also required with faith. You have to practice what you preach.

You are talking to the wrong “Christians”…. My dad was an alcoholic….. got saved when I was 18…. He never drank another drop…. He started a small church and a jail ministry…. He hired people when they got out of jail…. Bought tools…. Taught them a trade….. built ramps on the weekends for the elderly…. Served the homeless in Knoxville…..His church helped with bills when there was a need in the community… His church doesn’t condemn homosexuals….. they pray for them and will welcome anyone into their church.

People that live like hell through the week and claim Jesus on sundays are not “Christians”

I was just being funny, not saying you said that.

The internet is revealing how people are, not making them seem worse than they are.
There are 330,000,000 people in the US alone….. A small percentage of that are showing themselves to be morans online…. That’s not the majority of the people.

I've used this math thing before...in fact last weekend with friends. Now granted that number includes kids but just to put a face on it if you were to consider .01 of that population were dipshits (not .1, .01) that's 3.3 million. That's a greater number than, IIRC, 20 of the 50 states.

That's what I'm saying. I'm not saying there are no good Christians or that nobody does it the right way. There are just too many "wrong" Christians. It's easy to find a Christian who will tell you he's been saved. It's not as easy to find one who will tell you to love thy neighbor as thyself, especially in the face of conflict.

The gay barber shop owner is my friend
Sorry, but that copied thread smells fishy. Like it was spliced together or some trolls created it. Similar to the Smollett caper in Chicago or the Tawana Brawley mess. Maybe it wasn't made up, but I'm not seeing this kind of thing except from people who seem to have an agenda to prove. With regards to this particular issue, this is the only example I've seen.

Over the years, it seems like every time something like this gets presented, it turns out to be made up.

LOL. Scroll down to their post on June 12. Will this incontrovertible evidence change your mind about anything, tho? You think my personal friend fell victim to the one incident of demostrative hate? I dare you to scroll through all the comments. Don't forget to unfilter it for "all comments."

If you don't want your children at drag queen story time, don't take them. Problem solved and everyone is happy.

I don’t completely disagree with you, but you’re openly ignoring the stated desire of drag Queen story hour. They openly state the goal is to have this as a part of “early childhood education”.

That’s where the real issue occurs. Take your kids where you wish. Just don’t force it on mine. Yet, forcing this on all kids is their goal

That looks real. The previous post was spliced together. Yeah. Got some idiots out there and apparently the barbershop found them. Kudos to them though for handling it well.

The gay mafia is so powerful they faked the whole Facebook page. But they won't pull the wool over Grover's eyes, no sir. He knows their tricks.
Moran. The first post was spliced together and did not include the full facebook page, so yeah, I do know the tricks of people who have a position they are trying to support.

Got anything else to offer?

It was spliced together because it you can't format one long image on VN in a good way, and also, pretty sure some of those people deleted their own posts.

It's a small town in Idaho where he lives. It's just local people commenting and then their friends (wherever they are) seeing their comments in their feeds, and deciding to comment too.

No, thank goodness, but I did when I was a little kid. Some dark years for our family in a podunk town with terrible weather. Most of the people I know from ID are good people, but something about that state attracts some of the worst of us. Not sure how it is anymore, but the neo-nazi movement was pretty strong in northern ID in the 90's.

"the barbershop found them''

LOL. Okay.
Oh, get off of it, Dinka. You're smarter than that. It is a turn of phrase and I'm sure you've read/heard it before. Geez.

EDIT: Maybe you did get it, after all you laughed. If so, mea culpa.
