It's hateful to say that someone who believes they are something different than they actually are is mentally ill? Where does this continuum extend? What if they identify as a different age? Different species? Was the DSM (guide to diagnosing mental illness) hateful all those years?Well, the people wondering about the emergence of hateful attitudes certainly got some answers in this thread.
Teach them about queer ways? Lmao when the President reads to kids is he targeting them to teach them about straight ways and sex?

Speaking of, how did homosexual people get lumped into this group? I have several gay friends, and none of them think they are actually the opposite gender.
Well, I'm going on what was taught in my Psychology major and in medical school. The DSM Is literally THE TOOL used to diagnose mental disorders:If I don't know if somebody is mentally ill, it's not nice to call them mentally ill and you left out the part where he doesn't think they belong in public. Is that not hateful?
Gender confusion is a biological phenomenon that happens at birth for some people. I'm unaware of any biological confusion about species.

intense desire to participate in the stereotypical games and pastimes of the other sex

strong preference for playmates of the other sex
B. Persistent discomfort with his or her sex or sense of inappropriateness in the gender role of that sex.
C. The disturbance is not concurrent with a physical intersex condition.
