I'm game to give it a try without them. Besides if they did break away all that industry would flee, chances are they would move to the southeast.

They already are, I’ve sold several homes to folks from the west coast. They all say the same thing, the Democrats are ruining their state. One even said he was too old to learn Spanish. Lol

No evidence to support that assertion.
That’s convenient rationalization. There is already a net outflow of middle class wager earners in CA due to their taxation policy.

When we yank their US citizenship after they pull this yeah people aren’t gonna stay and neither are companies. It’s ludicrous to assume we wouldn’t be hostile policy wise towards them.

I’m with Hogg. Let’s give it a try. And I’ll make a money bet with you Hogg and I are right.

Our church is getting an influx of middle class families from California. They all, unanimously say that it's because of tax burden, cost of living and wacky, oppressive laws.

They vote as OC instructs them. Otherwise, excommunication!

lol

Politics is something I don't get into. I have my opinions, of course, but I don't share them, believe it or not.

I get mouthy on here, but when I'm in person and in ministry, I don't want to put any obstacle in the way of being able to minister to someone or serve them. :)

Ha! I didn’t mean actually ask them that... it’s just that they flee - but if they vote dem then they’ll be fleeing again...

Gotcha.

I suspect the conservatives are fleeing CA and leaving it to its liberal vote, and its liberal agenda. I just feel bad for N.orCal, which is generally a really conservative region of the country that is held hostage by the liberal metropolitan population of the state.

Btw there is a little stickler on this whole secede thing. There is no provision for it in the Constitution. It’s a one way trip. So even if those CA dumbasses manage to get enough support to secede their is no federal mechanism to support it. It would take a Constitutional amendment.

Hey I’m all for kicking CA out of the damn Union. Good damn riddance. But no actual law vehicle to do so exists.

Federation in the USA should be voluntary. The federal Govt should not have the right to forcibly keep a state in.

They will have to fight the Union forces in a war, then.

'Calexit' supporters revamp campaign with plan to convert half of California into 'autonomous Native American nation'

I love this part:

“Our campaign is not motivated by the shifting balance of political power in Washington,” Marinelli said in an email. “We are motivated by the fact that California is a distinct society with the capability to govern itself independent of a country whose values are in direct conflict with ours, and a country whose government system [and its institutions] is broken and obsolete.”

So because of 1 presidential election it's time to secede? By the time this could even happen a Dem could be in the White House. Then what?
Let them leave, no one would miss them. Cut off a couple of rivers flowing out of "our" country into theirs and they would slowly die out and then we could just reclaim the land. Or let them secede and we just invade and conquer then install the government we want. Anything they do now, we could, in a few short years, do elsewhere.

The south has survived by suckling at the government teet for a long time. Why should it take California's succession to break that dependence. You say what you believe, but all evidence indicates otherwise.
Tell you what, take your ass to Cali and keep the 16%. When they secede their ability to input that 16% will dwindle to nothing. Oh yeah, one way immigration hoss. You go, you don't come back.
