no doubt about it. Many moms to their children (which they keep having).
I think you're giving the issue way too much credit for being mainstream. I suspect that the vast, vast majority of heterosexuals only give it thought on random occasions of this nature. Many apparently harbor strong opinions on the topic, but not to the point of making their lives less happy.
I tend to side with you on the topic, but don't really care enough to let it make an impact on my day.
No tell me. The heterosexual population is the main transferer of the disease there?
not a prayerHeterosexuals like myself only give it thought when progress is made or when people staunchly opposed to it say something in opposition. Then I take the opportunity to engage them and try to change their perspective on the issue.
Given the increased exposure of gays and gay issues in pop culture, in the media, in life in general, and given how much gay bashing I overhear just going about my business, I would guess the vast majority of those opposed to homosexual marriage unnecessarily let it "get them down/disgust/bother" them fairly regularly.
Africa is more heavily affected by HIV and AIDS than any other region of the world. An estimated 22.5 million people were living with HIV at the end of 2007 and approximately 1.7 million additional people were infected with HIV during that year. In just the past year, the AIDS epidemic in Africa has claimed the lives of an estimated 1.6 million people in this region. More than eleven million children have been orphaned by AIDS.
it's obvious you didn't study what you feel comfortable withActually I dont need you or my pastor to tell me how they interpret it. I am capable of reading the Bible, praying that God give me the meanings He wants me to take from it, and trust and have faith in Him that he does it.
That being said, I'm comfortable with what I have taken from the passages on homosexuality.
So why do they have a higher rate of infection? I don't buy it is because they are made to feel like lesser people and this somehow reduces their desire to practice safe sex. More like, the phyiscal actions they perform are more prone to transfer disease and or mentally they do not desire to engage in safe sexual practices EVEN though it is known their lifestyle produces a higher rate of infection. Either or both of these scenarios points to backing up my idea.
So besides the disease being passed down via birth, what is the main reason it is so rampant? Promiscuous heterosexual sex?
Therefore, gay men have to be extra, extra careful, not because of the way they have sex, but because the people they're having sex with are more likely to already have the disease. Us acting like they are "diseased" doesn't get them to be more careful, IMO.
Correct. Unlike the U.S. where sex is saved for marriage and we are all virgins when we marry; they actually have sex outside of marriage over there (sarcasm).
Children are being infected by the millions primarily via mother-child transmission through pregnancy or breastfeeding. In addition, men believe that having sex with a virgin cures aids; children are being raped and infected.
Sorry for taking the thread off topic. I just wanted to correct an earlier misstatement that Aids is primarily a homosexual disease.
