California Lunacy Thread

Years ago we tried in AZ and we're basically run off by some environmental group. Of course the area we were in burned soon after and did a lot more damage than it should have.
I suspect particularly in California that it's almost impossible to do anything because of the government placating environmental groups.

Also destroyed in the blaze was the neighboring home which had been rented by Hunter’s Secret Service protection detail for an eyewatering $16,000-a-month – the tab picked up by the US taxpayer.

Coming to a hard Left conspiracy site soon.

Elon used weather manipulating stuff to create the right wind and then started fires to burn through LA. This not only would bring about a backlash on incumbent politicians and their policies but would then provide the platform for Starlink to come in and help save the day.

(I'm joking...I hope)

You can do both. The response is bad and Trump is acting like a complete clown while people are losing everything.
No you can’t. Not when you advertise “ shameless apologist for liberal democracy” in your X handle. And the feed is littered with the term MAGA…it shows the agenda. Direct the message to the ones who blunted help not the one who called for help months ago.

You can if you're not eaten up with hackery. Trump looks clownish and nothing like a real leader. No different than the leaders in cali

Except the fact Trump is right...

They could have gone in ten years ago if not longer and started doing mitigation work. But nearly each and every time they tried, California government agencies (namely the CARB) got involved and shut them down. Or cities doesn't want the smoke problems. Even after Jerry Brown mandated prescribed fire on a 15 year plan, they still couldn't get it done because of government bureaucracy.

Newsom could have (and should have) shut down the agencies getting in the way and made it happen, but he didn't. California could have (and should have) kept on seasonal employees at a lower pay rate to do controlled burns or other mitigation work, but they didn't.

California right now is living up to the old scary saying of "I'm from the government and I'm here to help."

Pretty sure I've repeated the same thing many times so i understand what needs to be done. I've actually done the work (or at least attempted). He can be right and not act like a total dbag. That's not too much to ask for from a potus. It's why there's not much optimism for his second term from me. He's not a leader

No. Trump is definitely a leader. He's just a really super abrasive one. I learned about a year into his first term to pay attention to his enacted policies and to completely tune out what he says (including not listening to his speeches).

Covid proved he was absolutely not an effective leader. He looks for fights not solutions

I even bumped the deja vu you posted years ago.

Clownish isn’t the term Id use if he discussed this possibility months ago with Rogan. And did address it when he was previously the President to Newsom. Those leaders of California did what those on the left chose to do, opposite of Republican recommendations. That’s clownish and costly.

That’s the issue. Liberals don’t want to acknowledge that Trump was right again.
