Calling MZTERRY

I don't think booing is acceptable unless things get really bad, Dooley bad. The players might even join in if it got that bad.

I think if you're going to boo, it had better be extremely obvious that you're booing an egregious coaching decision. For instance, I booed lustily last year when DD put two timeouts in his pocket with 38 seconds left against Missouri and didn't try to take a shot or two at picking up 25 yards for a game winning FG attempt.

Other than that, I have a hard time with it. The kids, after all, are kids entertaining me for free.

hand me $3-4 million a year and you can boo anytime you want

Those kids aren't getting paid anything. We are getting ready to go through a rough stretch with lots of recruits attending these games. I would love for the fans to stay classy.

being put in a position where S Alabama has enough time to drive the length of the field to tie the game should be demoralizing

I'm sure it was. So in your world I guess it makes sense to compound that by booing. Great person here.

It is NEVER good to boo your own team. Not only does it accomplish exactly nothing, it is very counterproductive.

Serious question, what do you fee like you're getting out of it? Does it make you feel smarter than the coaches? Do you think it changes anything about the game? You think maybe next time in the 4th quarter, nursing a lead, CBJ is gonna think to himself "I'd better not call two pass plays in a row on this drive because utvolpj may boo me"???

I will state this as plainly as I can. Booing your own team accomplishes NOTHING other than making one look like a foolish child. :hi:

yes, I seriously hope he does rethink a 1min long drive late in the game with a 7pt lead. Will it be because I booed from my living room? No one truly knows the answer to that

The question that you avoided was this. Do you think it does anyone any good when you boo "your team"?

I would like to know what purpose you think it serves.

I'm not booing the team. I'm expressing my disagreement with a certain situation

Wait a minute... You said earlier it was to communicate with the coach. Boo 'til your heart's content in the privacy of your own living room.

(PS: I think you're back-peddling your stance now, fwiw.)

If my son was getting bashed like I seen your son getting it a few games ago I would have went on the worst cussing spree anyone has ever read on here.

I've learned it ain't worth the argument, and at the end of the day as in the past 19yrs..... I'm the one person who is always going to be in his corner; right wrong or indifferent, and the only VOL Fan I wake up has been there for the past 20 years. (MY HUBBY), so it doesn't phase me to flip out like I probably would have a while back. None of the kids are perfect and they're still in a learning curve. Croomster is working his tail off to do what's being asked of him. Azzanni spends a good amount of time him explaining and demonstrating his expectations of Croomster; which is becoming more evident in the past few games. I think with the relationship they have and are building; we'll be okay.
I've been mighty upset that the staff hasn't yet taken full advantage of Jason (and Paul Harris') size. He's a big, big target and gives our struggling QB's a bigger catching radius and margin of error. It's the one thing this offense has, that most programs do not. Yet, the staff hasn't even tried to leverage that advantage.

I'm pulling for him and Paul both. Hope they have a great week of practice and a monster game, this Saturday.

not backpedaling at all. I would have reacted the same way whether in Neyland or on my couch

That'll show em. Butch definitely gives a **** about what you think Mr. Monday Morning QB.

oh so you agree with stopping the clock late in the game while up one score? Please explain

I'm not going to pretend like I know more about football than the coaches. That's the difference between us. I trust them and you think you should be them.

The thought of a grown man literally booing at his television...

Good stuff up in here.

"Boooo!"

"Hiss!!!"

"Boo!"

("Baby, bring me that spare remote. This one's broken.")

It's not really bad until you start yelling screen, draw or ball when you identify a play.
