Calm Down: This is a Very Good Team

Florida is terrible.

Tennessee is terrible.

Don't kid yourselves.

Gator fans are slightly less pissed

While this is true - I like out upside a little better. I honestly think Vandy and Georgia are the best two teams in the East and we play them both at home so who knows if we can get the train back on the track. We will see.

I think we have the talent, supporting staff, and everything needed to be a good team. We outplayed Florida hands down. Butch makes this seem significantly harder than it actually is. One the 1 yard line, you run the ball. On third and 1, you run the ball. With 9 seconds left in a tied game, you play prevent. Score to go up 12 points, you go for two. Literally if you played and beat the highest difficulty on NCAA Football games, then you are just as qualified to be the game day coach for this team.

Scott calls the plays -- he is learning on the job - he will get better.

Clearly anyone that says this team is even remotely decent is on meth. This team is awful and will be lucky to be bowl eligible.

The difference is sack hair. Harbaugh has it and saw UF was a deficient team. Butch played scared on the goal line. Look at the run pass ratio inside the 10.
Butch is a coward.

1st and goal on the half yard line and your best guy never touches the ball. You just can't explain that. We'll be fortunate to win 7 games.

The defense played great for the most part! It just depresses me that the secondary hasn't improved any in the last 4 years. And it blows my mind that Justin Martin was a 4 star, he is just awful and that's putting it nicely. Did Bituli get injured yesterday? I never remember seeing him after the first quarter. Warrior played good, and the line stepped up yesterday and were pretty solid imo. Tuttle being back makes a HUGE difference. Are we redshirting Will Ignont this year? I don't think he could be as bad as Jumper. I think we should change our recruiting focus this year from RB to LB all the way. Our RB's are probably the most talented group in the SEC.

I was wondering the same thing about Bituli...but I got to see Sapp play finally. Ignot isnt a redshirt just not his time yet

This IS a good team… That is horribly coached… Don't tell anyone to calm down, this should be a 10-2 team on talent alone. The recruiting has paid off. Not out talented save Alabama in any game. Worst game day coach in history.

The talent is there. New OC, QB and WR's.

How many would've complained about play calling had we gone I-Formation inside the 10 on first down and been stoned each time? Even Pete Carroll makes mistakes.

Unfortunately we can't go back in time so deal with the learning curve for our Rookie OC, QB and WR's.

This will work itself out. Play/Execution and Play Calling will improve from here on out.

Should've run the ball, seriously.

If you told me before the season that we lose our best WR and starting ML and were tied with Florida with 9 sec, I would have told you are crazy.

If that same person told you Florida didn't score an offensive touchdown in their opener they lost, was missing two of their starting skill position stars due to credit card fraud allegations and lost the chance to have an warm up gimme game due to a hurricane what would you have said?

Pretty much owned Florida in the Swamp but for some fixable mistakes.

More offensive yards and 1st downs than Michigan got.
Hoke's DLine much improved.
Kelly a beast.
QD very good with time to throw.
Strength and conditioning impressive -- UF was worn out.

I like 10-3.

PS. Stop talking about firing people (unless they throw on 1st and goal from the 1 again #petecarroll).

Good post. :hi:

You're bloody insane. 10-3? Lol.

If you'd have told me we'd lose to the worst Florida team in a generation, missing 10 suspended players, with no proven qb, that missed its second game of the year and it's normal game week preparation because it was dealing with a Hurricane.....I would have told you you're crazy.

TN will not reach 10 wins in the Butch era. Butch has no feel for the game and therefore must rely on his charts and data. This is why the in game decisions that top notch coaches make on the fly are beyond Butch's reach. He will continue to make wrong decisions or no decisions at the wrong time.

Yeah this is going to be hard to ignore

Good God, you don't know what a good team is OP, give it a break, good team......rightttttttttt

I agree with this post if Florida was actually a good team. They are not. Franks is probably the worst QB in the conference.

Hell no man that's mac making him look bad

Just need to let him throw it down field he's pretty damn accurate on those passes
