Cal's comments revealing

Most have flashbacks and begin to randomly hand out bottles of water to complete strangers on the streets. This is just one of the unspoken casualties of college athletics. Truly horrifying.

I'm really thinking about petitioning the NCAA to set up a Psychotherapy program for these people to try to integrate them back into society.

Very nice.

Can you imagine the repercussions of someone spilling a water in front of him?

Catastrophic.

Are you here to tell me that Calapari is a saint too?

Please.

You know and I know Bruce is the only Saint in NCAA Bball.

I mean he turned down a lucrative deal to go to Memphis to stay with UT. That's the love of a Saint...

Nope. I'm just here to tell you that your village is missing you, and you should wander back at some point.

Actually. He probably won't have the welcome back story that the Prodigal Son had.

The party is going on pretty strong without him there.

Does it even matter whether Pearl would beat Calipari with equal talent? (He wouldn't.) Most people here are essentially taking a moral victory from this game, which would make sense if Pearl could get past the Sweet Sixteen and Calipari didn't keep making Final Fours. It's pretty obvious by now that regardless of what happens during the season, Calipari is going to go further in the tournament. The last time Pearl beat Calipari was two years ago, and--guess what!--it didn't matter in the tournament again. The people here who actually believe that Pearl is a better coach are blatant and ridiculous homers.

My point is not whether or not Pearl is better or not. UK will always have the edge in drawing elite talent as will UNC and Duke. It is like UT will always have the edge in drawing football talent than those schools. Pearl will have to work harder to get the talent and coach them up. My question was is it better to have annual turnover or very good players who play as a team for 2 to 3 years. You seem to think the answer is obvious, but I am not so sure.

Pearl does a great job in the underdog role with undermanned teams. I wish he were as consistently successful when he's riding a favorite.

That's Bruce's weakness, so far. You give him lemons, and he makes lemonade out of them. But he's never lived up to expectations when he's had the horses.

I made up my mind a long time ago if I ever have a chance to go D1 (I'm 14) I will never play for Kevin Stallings,JIm Calhoun, and John Calliapari.

Every other word from his mouth is a curse word. Life is too short to put up with that for 4 years.

Cal's comments before & after game are very interesting. In speaking to Erin Andrews he said that he tells his players not to listen to him, just to go out there and play. Whyen she said wait till the players hear that they don't have to listen to you, he replied , it doesn't matter, they don't listen to me anyway.

When asked after the game why they had such a difficult time with the Vols zone, he said, we didn't prerpare for it. This one's on me. I didn't have the team ready for it.

IMO this demonstrates Pearl's superiorty as he outcoached Cal once again:):):salute::salute:

I dont know who did the best job coaching in that game... but I know who won.

1. He was at rival Memphis.
2. He is now at bigger rival Kentucky.
3. He just beat Tennessee in what looks like it might be a recurring trend.

What isn't to hate?

4) A lot of folks on here say that they are UT Football fans and Memphis Basketball fans. They feel jilted.
