Cam Sutton received a death threat

Sick and sad these types of "people" even exist. My guess is that moron is blaming Cam for having something to do with that long completion Vandy had right before they scored the winning TD.
But like others said, he is the last person on defense that should be blamed for anything this year (probably the only player who clearly over-performed this year).

This board has a bunch of fans of other teams posing as vol fans.

Quit trolling yo. lol

where did anyone on this board come close to the level of death threats?

Hey, you see how irrational this board is after a loss. Irrationality breeds stupidity. A death threat is a case of extreme irrationality. If people act this crazy on the internet I'm sure there are several that will act crazier off of it. lol

I'm sure lots of passionate fan bases have this type of stuff happen though.

it's a huge leap to go from "fire Bajakian" to an actual death threat on a player

I've never been more ashamed to be a member of this fan base then I am today. This story is utterly shameful, embarrassing and inexcusable.

Hopefully, this will serve as a wake-up call to those individuals on this forum who have been bad mouthing our players consistently since Saturday as to where such rhetoric can eventually lead. Regardless, everyone needs to tone it down a notch and appreciate our players for all of their hard work this season and share with them our sympathy for its outcome.

Death threat on the best player on our defense? He's the reason Matthews was as limited as he was.

The emotional and irrational reactions of some on here is astounding....so I really would not be surprised.....

Butch Gets It! Now I've lost faith! Butch cannot win! Butch is Dooley 2.0! When we gonna spend money on a real coach?!

Worley sucks! Start Peterman! Can't beat Florida with Worley! Peterman blows, why did he start? Should've stuck with Worley. Worley ain't the answer, play Dobbs or Ferguson! Dobbs is the future, when will Ferguson transfer? Dobbs sucks, he ain't the answer. I want Ferguson.
There is no denying the truth in what you're saying. I admit that I get carried away and say things that I might not necessarily say if I weren't worked up, but death threats are a whole other level of stupidity.

Yes it is. I don't believe it takes much though to make people who are losing it over a football loss to snap though. I've read about several death threat incidents in sports. People just go crazy.

It's like violent drunks. Sometimes they just fight and sometimes they just snap and kill. Big difference but a thin line for some.

Don't be ashamed until you get confirmation that it was indeed a vol fan. :hi:

I have no reason to believe it came from anyone elses fanbase. The notion that a vanderbilt fan did this is just stupid. They are celebrating their win and have no reason to be upset about anything. No, this is basically the same reaction that we saw from Harvey Updyke, except directed at his own team rather than the opposition.

You underestimate how far fans would go to harm the hated "rival", their reason would be to damage our recruiting succes. :hi:

Every time I hear about something like this, I wonder what that really means. Did someone send him a hand-written letter naming his family and what they'd do to them, or did some drunk guy just yell something stupid as he was walking off the field after the game?

Not suggesting either is acceptable, I just don't know which it is. I'm sure it's something in between, I'm just curious.
