I seem to remember a lot of the rightwing nuts on here saying people should run down any protestor blocking their way. Of course that was a different protest.

Your ignorance here is wilfull. What many including myself were saying is that if someone blocks your way while shouting at you, banging the hood of your car, hit the gas. I would, especially if I had my family in the car. You would too. It's fight or flight, fighting isn't an option against a mob.

I think an employer has a right to require employees to be vaccinated. I don't want to require my employees to get a vaccine or be fired anymore than I want to use a truck to shut down a city center and the businesses in it.

I see the distinction. You are not worried on a personal level but you think it is legitimately enough of a worry for others to quit their jobs or take part in an extended protest which is daily costing the economy millions.

I believe people have the right to make their own health decisions even if it costs someone else some money.

Yes we’ve covered it. You magnanimously state you would never do it but you recognize that other employers have the right to do so. So that means you support the right of employers to force employees out of their current employment on a whim. And the truck situation is exactly the same back on the employer. I realize you won’t admit that but to anybody paying attention it is.

Honestly I would guess anybody blocking a public road is probably breaking the law. I have to believe they have lawful options to levy on the protestors. I’d expect they also know it will blow up in their faces.

Have truckers acted violently towards police? I've seen no water bottles thrown, I've seen no truckers advancing to confront police. That happened at many if not most protests I witnessed over the last year and half. That will illicit a response from police every time.

If you don't see the double standard in both rhetoric and action toward these two different protests it's willful.

I wish people on here would just state the real reason they don't agree with the trucker protests. It's because they feel these truckers don't hold the same or similar political views as they do.

And yet I haven't seen one complaint from him or any other democrat, leftist, or libertarian regarding the NYC vaccine mandates. Which are forcing private business to ensure their customers are vaccinated. Whether the business agrees or not. But the moment Desantis says a business or entity can't do it they are outraged.

VERY SMALL but loud minority but they still got police defunded, cities shut down, college professors fired, entertainers cancelled, violent felons released from custody with no bail, monuments desecrated and destroyed, weak DAs elected, and the normalization of rioting and destruction. So why shouldn’t a minority on the other side get just as much leverage and results?
