But you are fine with the government forcing people to do other things in relation to Covid.

Desantis MANDATED that businesses could not have their own vaccine standards. That's the same as other states mandating that their businesses push the vaccine. The government is pushing both.

Telling an employee they have to get the vaccine or they are fired is forcing them to make a decision. Therfore, people who didn't want to take the vaccine but did in order to keep their job were forced to take it. Surely you are not that ignorant.

He banned masks in schools. Not banned mandates on masks, banned the use of masks at all in public schools at least. Not sure if that Carrie's to private ones.

He also mandated that businesses couldnt have their own vaccine standards.

They are still mandates or bans even if you agree with them.

People have to make decisions every day that affect whether they keep a job or not. Also something you should realize, it's not YOUR job it's your employers job that he hired you to do. You have no right to that job.

Asking if someone is okay with something or not is asinine. I had a guy down the street from me that had 2 dogs that barked continuously, day and night. I was not "okay" with that but I would have never supported a noise ordinance in the county we live in to punish him for his dogs barking. I fully support people being allowed to be assholes.

Sure it does. If I'm paying you I have the right to tell you what to do, you don't have the right to tell me what to do. Hence I have superior rights than you.

Asking questions is not asinine. If they don't like they questions I ask they can ignore it and move on.

That question has been asked and answered numerous times and it's asinine. You don't have to be "okay" with something to support someones right to do it.

No, mandate means to force someone to do something. Tell someone they can not force someone to do something is the absolute opposite of a mandate.
If I tell my son he has to take the trash out, that is a mandate. If I tell him later that I no longer require it but it is voluntary, the mandate has been removed.
The lengths some people go to to warp language to meet their political stance never ceases to amaze me.

There was never a doubt in my mind. The “they should be able to do that but of course I would never do that” stance rings somewhat … hollow. I don’t doubt you on that I don’t think you would. But it isn’t exactly a strong debating stance that’s all.

Being vaccinated or not should have no effect on the way anyone performs their job duties. Therfore it's wrong for businesses to try and force it.

Just like it's wrong to tell employees they can't smoke cigarettes when they are not at work.

That would not be a mandate but if you tell me I can't jump off the bridge that is a mandate. DeSantis told private businesses "they can't".

I agree that it is wrong for an employer to mandate vaccinations but I support an employers right to do so.

Then the correct term for that is a “prohibition”. Mandate refers to positive action. Words matter
