And you’re confusing opinion with fact. That would be good advice, if there were some other excuse or reason for what we see coming from the right. Folks who want to know the truth do not shun good information with knee jerk negatve reactions to it or middle school personal insults. We are talking about people who supported a President who was known to be an habitual liar with the business reputation of a con man. I could go on, but the reality is that many attacks we see against Biden have little basis other than the desire to divert attention away from the truth about Trump. You might think of that as honesty. I do not.
Yeah no kids have ever heard WAPHey look, a song for adults juxtaposed with books for children. Great comparison.
Dr Suess has not been banned or canceled. 6 books from his library of 60 have been reviewed by HIS estate and THEY decided to discontinue them.
But for what it’s worth, the man does have a history of some overtly racists cartoons (made for adults) before he started writing children’s books. He also wrote and starred in a minstrel show in black face. Supposedly these views mellowed with age due to influence from his wife and many point to Horton Hears a Who as his apology of sorts.
All of this is worthy of discussion and reevaluating the pedestal the man has been put on in the pre-K eduction world. It’s not like there is a dearth of kids books out there if I Seuss were to be deemphasized or phased out.
He clearly thinks this is being done by Dems. Republicans should be saying the market can do what the market wants to do. This is not a matter for politics since government has no role here.

He didn't call for any government action.
He is insinuating that these choices by private businesses are being forced upon them by Dem legislation. I’m going to assume he knows better but thinks it politically advantageous to stir up faux outrage.
While I have been aware of the Dr Seuss controversy for a few years, I have never heard of a politician calling for any action to address it. I would say the vast majority didn’t even know there was something to it.
In all honesty, I love Dr. Seuss. However, the books are used for more that learning to read. They have lessons in them that being ingrained in children. Most of his books and there were 60 of them teach positive lessons. If some of those lessons don't jibe with today's values then those particular books shouldn't be used for mass teaching. This is different than not teaching Tom Sawyer or Huck Finn because of the use of a certain word. One of the reasons those books are important is because they illustrate racial relations and interactions at a specific period in time.
In other words, I am not for censorship, but I am for making sure that the lessons we are teaching kids are positive ones.
I wonder whatever happened to white Jake from State Farm?I don't care who's responsible for the cancel Dr Seuss and Potatohead campaign.
It's the dumbest thing since...... removing Aunt Jemima's face from a pancake mix. If you're so offended with a black lady on a box just replace her with a white lady! Ya can still call it Aunt Jemima, white folks would love it. Hell sales would probably sky rocket.
No the new name for Aunt Jemima products, Pearl Milling Company. bawahaha. This country has lost it's damn mind.
It's Jake, black Jake from State Farm..........
