Cbj

and yet still managed to lose to Vandy.

The loss to vandy was bad. But it wasn't the same team. IMO a healthy Worley and North win that game. CBJ won one he wasn't suppose and lost one he wasn't supposed to so it evens out.

the 2013 was much less talented than the 2012 team

That is indeed true. The NFL draft coming up in April will prove that -- I seriously doubt that as many Vols as last year will get the call. 9 vols drafted or signed, 10 if you could david rickey. I see 4 this year and Palardy is one of those...

Cordelle Patterson
Dallas Thomas
Tyler Bray
Justin Hunter
Zach Rogers
Mychael Riveria
Prentiss Wagner
Ben Bartholomew
Montori Hughes
Da'rick Rogers (shouldn't really count him)

just like your "signs" of their greatness... We are using proof when discussing his failures. You're using dreams...

I don't think they are great and you wont find one post to the contrary. I just think it's to early to judge.

If you thought before you typed you might not look so bad.

I don't know what you was watchin then cause the tailbacks I watched was improved from last year. More yards after contact and more yards per game. They were more disciplined with fewer penalties and Worley was hand over fist better when he got hurt from the 1st couple games he started for us. So yes I saw improvement. I guess you and butch can laugh together with every body else on this board that doesn't agree but that's what I saw. They don't have to be record setting to be improved. It wasn't great but it was improved.

This is the improvement they will never see. An improved Worley before he was lost for the season and then throwing a true freshman who was not on campus until the summer. I don't think Worley is the future, but it seems like he played better after his benching at Florida and before he injured his thumb. The tailbacks were well improved and often running against stcked boxes.

After next season, if we don't see the signs of our coaches' prowess...I'll own it and give you a shoutout...if the opposite happens...I expect you to reciprocate.

I will be happy if you are right and will have no problem admitting it - I prefer Vols to win over anything else so I'm certainly hopping CBJ will end up doing better than Dooley (but after watching this first year that seems unlikely - we looked terrible and I just have no confidence in Bajakian and Jancek to turn it around). But I'm excited about the incoming class and hope this staff can prove me wrong.

Excellent retort.

Why let the bottom line record in Jones' first season as a Vol get in the way of conjecture and extrapolation of what he did elsewhere as "proof" of him being able to get it done here?

What all these folk who are now backsliding on getting to six wins and saying it wasn't achievable with the talent at hand fail to acknowledge is that better coaching would have gotten wins against Vandy and UGA.

That's a fair, reasonable, generous offering Butchy, but we know that's not how it works.....you'll hear from TG and the boys loud and clear after the losses....you'll get crickets after the wins.....

Sure Chief. Crickets.

Great answer when you can't back up your accusation because of inconvenient facts (your usual approach).
Just for the record here is my post again in case you were too lazy to click on that link (this was from after UGA loss and fully exposes your BS and uncalled for accusation).

"I have been very critical of this staff but they really stepped up and called a great game today (both sides of the ball). Also very proud that the team didn't quit when they were behind. Slightly disappointed regarding few unnecessary penalties (especially the one at the end that gave them first down inside our 10 - but that was emotion and we should not fault or single out anyone for the loss today - especially not Pig who was awesome). Perhaps the biggest positive was Worley who looked composed - it's a great sign going forward."

Alright buddy, my bad. If I erroneously lumped you in with the guys who ignore the positives and can't wait to pounce on anything remotely negative then I extend my apologies.

I have stated before this is how I look at it. Butch both impressed and depressed me this season. I'm not crowning him the second coming of Neyland or damning him as a failure. I will wait and see. Some seem to have a real problem with this attitude and become very protective if CBJ.

This is absolute garbage and an outright lie.
No one praised this staff more than I did after the SC game.

Thanks - I appreciate this and apology accepted.
I will be thrilled if I end up being completely wrong about this staff if that means the Vols are back on top where they belong (if there are crickets at that point feel free to call me out).

Why don't you just go ahead and name them?

One of them responds with LOTS of words and slows down all servers...another will turn it into a Dooley defense manifesto...another one's in Oregon...don't name names KB! :)

You're counting Montori Hughes being drafted in response to a debate on whether the 2012 team or 2013 team were more talented? Seriously?

It's funny how that imaginary list keeps getting smaller as everyone points out the actual facts to you.

Haha. I praised the coaching staff here after their one big win. My reactions actually change based on observable facts. Unlike folks like you who can't bear to ever admit a single fault in your beloved coaching idol.
