Here's the thing, look at the talent that he had at Cincy... Then look at the talent Doolander had at UT. What do ya know? Tennessee's talent was far more superior. We could have beaten Cincy that year with Sal as the HC. Who cares if Dooley beat him? The SEC should beat the Big East 10/10 times (with the exception of Kentucky playing Louisville). Dooley did'nt beat anyone. The better talent at Tennessee beat Cinci.

he was 5-7 his first year 2008 at LA Tech.

He had 1 semi-successful season sandwiched between 2 losing seasons at a school that competes in the WAC. I think most people will agree that the WAC is a "crappier" conference than the Big East, and maybe even the MAC....ole Butch had success at both the MAC and Big East. He had 1 losing season his first year in the Big East but subsequently improved each of the following year.

Will he do well in the SEC? NO ONE knows. For all we know, he could fail miserably considering how tough the SEC is..but given his record of success, even in those inferior conferences, I am willing to give him a chance before I pass judgement.
