I do not envy Clemson one bit. A Saban coached Bama team coming off a loss facing the team they lost to in the National Title game the previous year, woah those boys will be ready to go.

I love Ruffin McNeill the DC for OK. He’s from here in NC and a great guy. Did a super job at ECU against tough schedules and royally got screwed so they could bring in all swag and bling Scottie Montgomery. So needless to say a lot of happy people in NC right now for Ruffin!!!!!

If you can't win your own league you don't deserve to be in the playoff. Heck, bama couldn't win their own division or their own state championship.

No way they deserved to be in.

There is bias for and against Bama for sure, just as their are to other programs, but this is the correct call. They were #1 and only loss to a top 10 team.

Both have an argument. How good it is depends on perspective. In a fair world UCF should at least be in the conversation. Any given day, etc.

The main point is the argument AGAINST Bama. They are third best in the conference by schedule and lost to the only good team they played. They also survived MSU and LSU instead of beating them.

I bet they get rolled by Clemson or in the championship game.

All this crap is settled with an 8 team playoff. The 5 conference champs get in automatically and 3 random picks.

Ruffin isn’t the defensive coordinator, mike stoops is. I believe Ruffin coaches the defensive line.

I’m good with a four team playoff. Honestly neither Alabama or Ohio State has a great argument for getting in. Plus I don’t like the idea of a conference champion automatically qualifying for the playoff. Stanford came very close to winning the P12 and they had three losses, including one to San Diego state. Don’t think three loss teams should be competing for the National title.

Well surviving is better than losing by 30 to Iowa. I wouldn’t bet that mortgage on Clemson either. Bama is pissed, and you can be sure Saban will have those kids laser focused for that game.

It is officially meaningless. Bama has ZERO business in the playoffs. I won't watch a single down of it because it is as much crap as the Hypeman Trophy. What a crock of ****.

No random picks. Conference championships only. Random add a popularity component. To wit: Alabubba being in this years' playoffs.

If Notre Dame and their boosters don't like it, pick a conference to join or stfu.
