CFP First Round: #10 Indiana @ #7 Notre Dame (8PM ABC/ESPN)

It's unfor
Im just glad they decided to put this on tonight. Notre Dame is winning this by two TDs and I can't see them making it past the second round. Indiana is exactly what most predicted they were. Creampuff schedule.

I'm sure Marcus Freeman will be riding high after tonight, but he'll be grinding his teeth flat on the sidelines in Athens.

Indiana is this years Iowa. Gawdy record beating a bunch of pushover teams. A fraud
+1,000. They only played two teams with a winning record and lost one of those games. They played two other teams with a 6-6 record. The other 8 games were against teams with losing records. They did not beat a single team in the top 25. I'm so fricken tired of these sheety playoff committees telling us how important strength of schedule is during the season and then totally ignoring it and only looking at wins and losses when picking playoff teams. The SEC should clearly have a fourth (and possibly a fifth) team in these playoffs.

Shhhhhhh we are supposed to say every SEC game is elite competition like Miss St, Vandy, Kentucky, Florida, and Oklahoma. Meanwhile the B1G is nothing but cream puffs.
Florida would beat this Indiana team and could beat this Notre Dame team. The B1G is four teams and a bunch of Kentucky’s.

What sucks is because of how few good teams there are in the Big 10, we will see this same setup in perpetuity. The Big 10 will always have one completely unworthy team in the playoffs because they only played one or two decent games in conference.
This could be avoided if strength of Schedule was a bigger factor

But hey, that’s far too logical a solution for the playoff committee

They did. I think if Ole Miss played their best game vs Notre Dame’s best game, Ole Miss would win. I think Dart is a much better player than Leonard.
Yeah it’s more a question of which Ole Miss Team shows up though. That’s my point. The good Ole Miss team would beat ND

The bad one would not.
