Why would we want to play a lesser opponent? Just stay home if you are afraid of the competition. Forego the bowl game.People judge Clemson QB based off some very suspect play calling and not the same talent on the outside as in recent past. He IS playing like crap...but...he has played well at times and in the past when he had appropriate talent.
That hasn't mattered to our defense this season...we let everyone have HUGE days in the pass game.
As bad as Clemson is statistically on offense, they would be effective against our defense.
But we would not be effective against their defense.
Our team still isn't built like a true contender yet. Even if Banks had not whatever...and Hendon stayed healthy. Even if we won the Natty this year, the team is not built to reload yet.
I disagree this boys would love to play NY6 Bowl against a sneaky talented Tulane team
Spoken like a true fan. This team is not afraid of the competition but it should not take it in the Shorts because somebody came up with a plan to squeeze two teams from the Big10 into higher profile games. Why would we want to play a lesser opponent? If LSU gets beat, UT or Bama will be in Sugar.Spoken like a true fan. This team is not afraid of the competition but it should not take it in the Shorts because somebody came up with a plan to squeeze two teams from the Big10 into higher profile games.
The Rose bowl insisted on keeping there alignment and it was honored, so keep it but don't squeeze us out with a lower rank team PSU because OSU decided they wanted to go somewhere else.
Void the alignment and send us to the Rose Bowl.
Best things that could happen is that we jump AL, LSU gets beat, and let the decision be made
Bowl selection committee. Alabama would go to the Orange Bowl over OSU and I am afraid we will not.
Rose Bowl match up is configured after the Sugar Bowl and before the Cotton Bowl, the CFP needs to move on from the Rose Bowl and start spending time at SoFi in LA or Allegiant in Las Vegas as the rest of the CFP venues are all fashionable NFL venues,
The Rose Bowl is on the outside looking in and they will stick it to the Power 5 Commissioners and the CFP selection team every chance they get, since nobody is bowing down to a tired old venue and a crusty bowl administration that is so out of touch with college football, the venue should be razed for affordable house and the rights and licenses to the name sold off to a high fiber cereal manufacturer.
The Peach Bowl has seriously escalated itself from the dregs of Fulton County Stadium and the Cotton Bowl has come a long way from the stadium over on the Texas fairgrounds, but the Rose Bowl is still languishing in fan experience, accessibility, stadium amenities as if it is still 1950, they need to be pushed into the rest of the bowl lineup with the Sun Bowl, the Liberty Bowl and the Birmingham Bowl and move on.
