I'm afraid it's the Cotton Bowl for the Vols, that's a really poor Bowl Game, the Vols deserve better, but it won't happen, unfortunately
If LSU wins, they go to the Sugar Bowl. If OSU is in the Orange Bowl, that moves Alabama to the Cotton Bowl and we end up in the Citrus Bowl. It's insanity for a top 8 team to end up outside a NY6 bowl.Let’s just win whatever bowl we go to… I don’t really care what the committee thinks.
Personally, wouldn’t be upset with a LSU win over UGA even if it slid our team to Cotton… those pompous dawg fans irritate me.
Go VOLS!
It's not a poor bowl game. It stinks that this year is the year they get the G5 team. But the Cotton is played in a great stadium in a fun town and pays great. It's also produced some of the best games in recent years.
If a team is bumped out of or elects to not go to the NY6 Bowl that their ranking is sending them to, then they should be moved to the end of the line and be last team picked. The Rose Bowl and B10 has always been a bunch of snobbish pr_ _ _ _ anyway.Really don’t think the Rose Bowl can change the rules… if they can, they should be demoted to level of Liberty Bowl. If rules don’t matter anymore, they will live in world where rules don’t matter. I’m thinking Duke’s Mayo Bowl (with thriving NC community) will gladly take the place of crappy Pasadena for NY6 bowl… f’ cali.

Nope, dont feel like being fair to the Rose Bowl. They have proclaimed themselves for years as the top Bowl and everyone else is second tier. If they want to avoid duplicating match ups then break your absolute tie to the B10/P10.In fairness to the Rose, they would like to avoid having the exact same matchup as last year. That said, if LSU gets the Sugar, the Rose will suck it up. I see the Cotton as the absolute worst case for Tennessee.
If LSU beats Ga. "The Lights will go out in Georgia" The Pac 10 and Big 12 games is where the biggest chance of an upset is. Michigan will hammer Purdue and Ga LSU. This is all in my humble opinion because I have seen stranger things happen. In fairness to the Rose, they would like to avoid having the exact same matchup as last year. If LSU wins, they are locked into the Sugar Bowl. If OSU manages to get the Orange Bowl, where do you think Alabama ends up? The answer is the Cotton Bowl... making the Citrus Bowl (or even the Outback) our worst case scenario.Nope, dont feel like being fair to the Rose Bowl. I can live with the movement if LSU wins. They won it on the field. The idea of OSU and The Rose Bowl thinking that they are above everyone else boils me. Even though I think the CFP jokers really messed up by inserting themselves into hypothetical instead of actual facts when they put Al. in front of Tennessee. I get it Hooker is out, but guess what the only head to head with Milton as QB was Vanderbilt and Tennessee won that head to head.If LSU wins, they are locked into the Sugar Bowl.
