Changes to staff?

Yeah, my speculation is just as mindless as your's.

Coaches leaving a job because they decided they weren't a good fit for the job is far from mindless. Discussing such speculation is very much part of the dialog that happens on a message board. If you perfer just the facts then perhaps spending your time on VN isn't the best way to spend your time.

Good Luck to Coach Mo and his family. Great people and they deserve to be with a better Head Coach. I see CDS did not release this to KNS. Cam Harris would have had it out there.

TCU is not releasing the information either. Something about it can't be released until Friday. Not sure why.
CDS did tweet his congratulations to Mo and wish him luck at this "great opportunity for him."

Lighten up Francis. I just enjoy gigging you about your Chicken Little approach to everything UT. You will be miserable up until the point UT wins a championship but you will be happy then.....for about 10 minutes and then you will begin fretting about repeating!:neener:

What DS tweeted I thought was very classy and IMO nothing else should be done on his part. It isn't customary for schools to make a big deal out of an assistant coach leaving.

Fwiw I don't think this is going to end as positively as I first thought. If bohanon was the guy we would already know it.

A lot of good options I am sure but not as well known.

CDS was not going to go behind his good friends back while he was still here. No way that was happening. He may be tryin with Bohannon but it's rediculious of you think it was already lined up

He did but he wasn't going to have him lined up right out the gate. I doubt he had a ton of time he knew also. Just let the process play out. Baseball hiring is wierd

It had been known for some time that he was looking for a situation with fewer recruiting responsibilities. This did not come as a surprise to DS and they parted on great terms.

It's also safe to say that Coach Mo is somewhat of a freebird too...meaning dude moves around a ton. Marches to a beat of his own drum. Dude has never (to my knowledge) stayed anywhere very long.

Was reading where this is a concern to some TCU fans. The fact that he's not stayed anywhere very long...including at UT with his childhood buddy. Some of them think he's there for a hefty check only to move on in 2-3 years.

Aric Thomas is a great hire.

Serrano has a real commitment from the university and this hire further proves this.

The department knows what kind of mess the baseball program is. Considering the rebuilding is going on in the toughest conference during a tumultuous time in the sport; I believe CDS has at least a 2-3 season commitment from the school.

Whether you like him or not is irrelevant. He has turned around a worse program and will turn around UT.

I can't do anything but agree. Fantastic post. I don't see what's not to like.

Really good looking resume but does it fit in the southeast? That's the one question I have. I think we upgraded but not the missing piece of the puzzle IMO. Still no southeastern ties.
