Changes to staff?

Really good looking resume but does it fit in the southeast? That's the one question I have. I think we upgraded but not the missing piece of the puzzle IMO. Still no southeastern ties.

So an upgrade isn't good enough? Well what is? Nothing? The missing piece of the puzzle is talent, mainly pitching.

Hopefully the upgrade is good enough. Are there any successful staffs in the southeast without ties to the area? I can't think of any.

As far as pitching goes whose job is it to get those guys?

You tell us.

Very impressed by the resume and IMO its a solid upgrade. I am concerned about the lack of southern ties on the staff. If you think that isn't a fair response to this hire you aren't being reasonable. I am not saying the lack of ties means this wont work only that its a valid concern.

I'm not being reasonable. Uh...okay. It's just that you're negativity is contagious, it really is. And that's a road I don't wanna go down today. It's either an upgrade or it isn't. Figure out which side you stand on and roll with it.

He said it is an upgrade and has never tried to imply differently. His question is whether or not it is enough of an upgrade to get us where we want to be. The one thing this team is lacking most is talent which he will play a major role in recruiting. Can we survive off of California and Great Plains talent which is where his ties are? Probably not, though it is nice having those players for a few players each year. We are going to need to have success in the southeast which is currently an unknown with Thomas. That does not mean he won't be successful, rather it is a question mark which is all that bruin is saying.

I would ask Bruin, what color the sky is in his world? But, in his Chicken Little World, the sky is always falling!

But, Bruin does not appear to have an ax to grind in this like some. He's just an ultra negative person. A big fan, just a nervous one!

We'll just have to agree to disagree. Because I'll guaran'damn'tee you if dude had spent his entire career in the southeast that he'd be moaning about something else. Sorry if that bothers you, but that's how I see it.

I just wonder why he would leave the school he played for?

Galloway decided to leave OU at the end of the season to become the Auburn head coach, and then Hughes (old va tech coach) came in and decided to bring former Nebraska hc Mike Anderson onto his coaching staff leaving Thomas out of a job

Ok, thanks :hi:

Hey hey..... Nothing wrong with Oklahoma.

Ha. Drove through there last fall. The OU campus is very pretty but there are some desolate areas in the rest of the state as you drive through on I-40. I especially like how all of the trees are leaning.
