Charlie Strong

The midwest.....really? Cmon the HS talent is lower southeastern and west coastal. Tn could prob have best talent in midwest. I concede that he has alot of baggage but dont be so naive to think that our program, and every other major contender, isnt historically just as dirty. We are just better at keeping it quiet. But i think that will be forgotten soon. JMO

Ohio is consistently in the top 10 most talented states, this year coming in at number 9.

was just asked point blank if we would be a Louisville next year, stumbled around for 10 seconds with uhs and umms then finally said "i'll address that at the proper time" he's leaving and going somewhere this year.

I just told my buddy that exact statement. He's literally said anything and everything but "I will be the coach of [insert SEC program here]"during this press conference. I'm excited to believe that he is our next HBC.

and here i thought we said good day to each other and left it at that. lol

I guess, seeing the way you carry yourself (moron comments, name-calling, flip-off smileys, arrogance and condescension sprinkled with ignorant statements), I just can't help myself. I apologize.

It doesn't change the fact that you can't seem to help but forget your own arguments and contradict yourself at every turn, while making yourself look like an a** in the process.

I'm pointing this out for your own good... (How old are you, by the way? I ask out of legitimate curiosity. I have a little bet with myself whether you are a 14 year old that just can't help it, or an adult who should be able to.)

No, not really. Strong with his current experience is not much better than dooley. Such an idiot.

:the_finger:

Yea a coach with all winning records , took a 4-8 team to 10-2 and a BCS bid in three years, and two NCs as DC is the same as a coach with one winning record who was never a coordinator. Talk about dumb or pushing an agenda.

So you would welcome the program being in the NCAA crosshairs even after we are STILL paying for Kiffin? Because if we were to entertain that notion that's exactly where we would be. Spare me the record and all the success--Hart mentioned integrity during his news conference. Jim Tressel pretty much screwed that up himself, and that trumps his record. Tressel isn't on our list and neither is Butch Davis and there are many reasons why. I'd hire Petrino before either of those two.
I heard what he said but we are gonna have to compromise somewhere.
HC exp
Proven winner
SEC exp
Integrity
Etc., etc
If integrity was top priority then dooley would still be here. When the smoke clears all that matters is winning and he is proven at that. I just dont see anybody that fits all of harts requirements. I will support whoever they hire but im trying to convey what would be as close to a guaranteed good hire.

Strong not convincing at all during his PC that he's eying another job. Don't think there's any question there's mutual interest between him and UT/Auburn.

Let's just ignore the fact Davis hasn't done anything wrong.

Ouch. It's dangerous to bring rational discourse and intelligent fact to this poster. let me prepare you for the response.

You are a jack***.
You are a jerk.
You poo-head...
:the_finger:
(Random changed argument and/or forgetting making the comments you quoted. When backed into a corner, claiming that you are so stupid, he can respond with any drivel, because you just pointed out the drivel...)

Good luck.

Wasn't saying Ohio talent was better than the south or west coast... Hence why Ohio State never beat the SEC. Still a ton of talent there though.

We hire Strong and the "healing" process won't start. The compete opposite will happen.

Why ?

He's a guy that can stay there for a period of time. Give a long term foundation recruit and coach well, have some success.

You guys seem to think that all you need to win is a recognized name. I don't think that's the issue. The big problem has been depth, or lack thereof. Your starters everywhere have been solid and competitive. But there has been such a drop off in the third and fourth quarters.

I would be really happy with Strong. I'd prefer Gundy first, Mora Jr. second, and Strong third, but I would be quite happy with any one of those three.

I think the truth is that Strong is neither as amazing as his supporters say nor as bad as his detractors attest.

Personally, I think his potential is greater than a guy like Fisher or Fedora, even if his results are not as distinguished yet. Gundy has had sustained success, and Mora Jr. vastly improved UCLA in just one season. I don't think we can go wrong with any one of Gundy, Mora, and Strong.

Agreed. Third person is GOLD.

Strong now expressing frustration over the U of L fanbase saying he wishes they had the passion of UK fans.

Yeah and 90% of us believed gruden would be our next coach. We may not be the best group to poll.

Yea but if we are gauging if we would unite behind the hire I think the one winning the polls about who we want would have a great chance. That's not the same as speculation about their dream coach.

If we as fans choose to not support our new coach, then you are right. If Strong is hired, the real fans will give him their support until he proves that he is not the man for the job.

For those that are saying he is not the man for the job, not sure what they are basing their statements on. I got the argument that he is coaching is in a lower tier conference, however he is winning. Until he coaches in the SEC, no one can say for sure that he will not succeed.

Until Saban, Miles, and Spurrier succeeded in the SEC, they all coached elsewhere.
