Chicago War Zone

Maybe you are, but that makes it a ridiculous conversation for our purposes.
I understand why you wish to limit the scope, otherwise you would be forced to admit that our poverty isn't a function of dem. policies.

Our poverty isn't real poverty in contrast to most of the world. That is why it's a bad argument for you.

see, Ras? See why nobody has a discourse with Loother for more than a post or 2?

He is bat sheet crazy and will move the goalposts, build straw men, appeal to (his) authority, pretty much any logical fallacy or means of diversion in order to carry water for the Dimwits...as well as blaming absolutely EVERYTHING from Muslim migrants in France to his milk smelling funny with his cereal this morning on Trump. Absolutely everything HE perceives to be wrong in the world is Trumps fault...and him, LG and mick will inject Trump into every single thread in the PF. It is sad how bad Trump lives in those libs heads. Very unhealthy is a massive understatement about these cats mental health.

Just got back. High school football is the greatest.

If we don't have real poverty, then maybe our system is working.

No its not. There is a big difference between a life that never existed and one that did and was killed.
Maybe in your mind. Birth control is intended to avoid giving birth. Thus the name. How many people are alive today because a rubber busted or the guy forget to bring one?

The "black" came into the conversation because we are talking about inner city blacks.

And what other options does Planned Parenthood or any of these other organizations offer besides abortion?
Why not just talk about inner city poor?

Norplants? Tube tying? IUDs? Morning after pills?

Condoms and the birth control pill are ubiquitous as well and have been so since Roe v Wade.

That hasn't worked, either.
It's worked, just not well enough. There is no way to even conceive what this nation would be like today had the birth control we did.

If it were up to you people there would be none.

Well lets talk about the norplants, tube tying and all of that. Women have over two dozen forms of birth control, and yet we still have women that have unplanned pregnancies. Women are the gatekeepers. If they allow themselves to get pregnant either by their own negligence or by allowing an immature/irresponsible male to enter her and get her pregnant, then the problem isn't going to be fixed with more birth control options.

With regards to your "Why not just talk about inner city poor" comment... You can call it whatever, because the 40-50 year experiment on the black community is successfully being implemented on the larger society. The answer to fix the problem involves restoration of the traditional family (man as the head, woman as the caretaker/homemaker) and going away from the liberal philosophy of govt dependence for daily needs.

Lol. Not even close.
People already break the gun laws in what they are doing. Or what you believe is happening.
Adding more gun laws will not fix that. Its naive in the extreme.

It's like believing the limiting the number of cars a person buys determines how many people will speed. I mean cars are registered. Surely limitting the number a person can own will make them safer drivers right?

As others have pointed out, if it was the people collecting guns that were the issue, the issue would be a LOT worse.
This is very myopic.
Having licensed drivers and registered vehicles absolutely makes the roads safer.
This idea that guns don’t need to be registered is crazy.

No. They don’t.

When they run a background check they already know if it’s a long gun or a handgun I’m buying.

They don’t need any more info.

I see several threads in here on US cities including Chicago, SF, Baltimore and Philadelphia. It escapes me what they all have in common.

I'm all for the traditional family. I also know it's not for everyone and there are those who would love a traditional family but it just doesn't work out.
There are all sorts of ways to increase the use of birth control. Just make it more financially and personally advantageous to use birth control than to not.

Only sheep think the way you do.
You may need to refine your definition of sheep, because people who claim guns do not need to be registered are the true embodiment of what it means to be a sheep.

I disagree. Licensed drivers can pass a standard exam and a brief road test. It is safer than simply handing the keys with a pat on the back but the licensing process doesn't make it safer. Registration of vehicles has nothing to do with making either the vehicles or the roads safer.
I think what increases safety is increased training and experience. I think it is true with vehicles and firearms. I wish our driver training was more like Finland (might be another Scandi country). I also wish hunter safety was taught in school as it was when i attended.

How do you suggest that we go about making people be more responsible? Because the way the system is set up right now thanks to liberals, women are incentived to have children without concern about who the father is or if that guy is even going to be in the child's life. Women get free food, housing and other benefits from the state. Meanwhile, the children grow up with no father and the one parent that is in their life is encouraged to be dependent on the state to bail them out whenever they make poor life decisions.
