Child Rapist To Be Beheaded And Crucified

The only problem with the death penalty is that it takes us too damn long to get around to killing them.

Someone would argue it was cruel and unusual punishment to be made to work 16 hours a day, instead he would sit in prison, get fat and infect other people who will one day join free society with his toxic views on America.

In a perfect world, a 16 hour work day over death is a good deal.

we don't live in a perfect world. Not claiming to have the answers and am certainly willing to listen to other ideas. You and I both know a prisoner like this will never be made to work 16 hour days at hard labor because some pity group will decide it is cruel and unusual punishment.

The only reason this is true is that those groups believe the criminals are the victims.

You know, the type that believes the 5 year old boy/girl came on to them and wanted sex.

Justice????????? Death = justice?

Also, the gov't wastes billions every year.

yes death = justice or as close we can get to it.

kind of obama logic there OE. just because the gov't waste billions a year that doesn't mean we should waste additional money keeping rapists and murders alive.

Using the inefficiencies of a bureaucracy as an excuse to keep the scum of the earth alive at a huge price tag for the American is perhaps the laziest attempt to argue against the death penalty I've ever seen. Just because putting someone to death doesn't change the fact that whatever happened, happened, doesn't mean that people's actions do not have consequences.

In no way does death equal justice.

Really? What additional money would be wasted? Those 37 people a year this country kills is going to balance the budget?

Really, life in prison is not a consequence?

You want to take the easy way out and kill them?

who said anything about ballancing the budget? every little bit helps.

So then you would believe this, it gives prosecutors another bargaining chip in the plea bargain process, which is essential in cutting costs in an overcrowded court system.

The truth of the matter is financial costs to taxpayers of capital punishment is several times that of keeping someone in prison for life.

Yes I would rather us kill the death row inmates within 5 years instead of waiting around 20 years to do it. While I'm at it, temporary insanity should not be a viable defense against the death penalty either.

Since when did 10 seconds of electricity become more expensive than 10+ years of keeping someone in prison to feed, guard, and give medical treatment to?

Why kill them at all? The taxpayer pays 5 times as much for death penalty inmates.

Why does temporary insanity have to do with any thing we are talking about?

That is like me saying we shouldn't kill handicap people.

Odd.....

Wow...... so convict send them over to the next room and kill the sucker!

In fact, we should televise it on tv!

What have we learned, we want to use the eye for an eye bible argument which has nothing to do with an eye for an eye. Jewish law dealt with compensation which meant what the eye was worth.

Charlie Daniels got this one wrong... the stump in the swamp is moronic.
