Chris Donald

Speaking of in state recruits, what's the word on Harrison Smith? UT or ND, as well?

As I read an article talking about how the newly eligible Brandon Warren is making a splash at FSU as both a tight end and specialty pass rusher, I was reminded of sickening it is to have your best high schools players leave to play elsewhere. We have to start keeping kids like Warren, Patrick Turner, Chris Donald and Smith in state.

Nothing new in the CD thread on CoachT with the alleged experts that "know" him...
noted. This rumor/fact broke tonight and if it is tru I doubt any news organization will break it until tomorrow, maybe not until later in the week. If it turns out to be true it's a shame but not the least bit surprising to me.

There is still no official word and I have to be away from a computer until about 4pm today. I'll be chewing on this for hours without knowing if there is any truth to it. ugggg. If this is true I wonder what affect, if any, it will have on H. Smith's decision?

I dont know if I can stomach losing the state's top player, year after year. :BANGHEAD2: when was the last time we didnt lose our top ranked player?

with only one four star signee it'll take both harrison and chris to give us a good class. We are at a low level right now.

$300/mo. for Plebes (fresh)
$400/mo. for Yucks (soph)
$500/mo. for Cows (jun)
$600/mo. for Firsties (sen)

So, at the end of 4 years, each Cadet has been paid $21,300 (while all living expenses were taken care of.)

Where did you get this information? I graduated from West Point, and I don't ever remember getting money like this. If I remember correctly, and I know I do, our books, uniforms, technology fee, laundry, and a mandatory subscription to the New York Times were all subtracted before we saw a penny. I don't remember what I received as a Plebe, but it was close to $70. All I know is that at the end of 4 years I had a couple thousand and 5 years in the infantry in return for my "free" education.

It's a rumor, nothing more, nothing less..

If a life long vol fan like Donald cant commit, I mean the guy had a ut sticker on his car, then what does that say about the state of the program?

it says nothing about the state of the program. if anything it shows how hot ND is right now.

I agree, with all of the on and off field problems who would find us appealin?

Technically you cannot commit for another 6 months. What kid would not let as many teams recruit him as possible. Early commitments are for kids that do not want to enjoy the process. I bet the Irish get him.
Well good luck to the young man where ever he goes!
