his son had brain cancer they found when he was 3...
he's 10 and recovering and fine now...but Im sure he feels
loyal to them for the way they treated him and his family...and he can make 4-5 million at a big school for
5-10 years and have all the pressure in the world or make 3 million a year for 20 years and never worry about being fired...he's not leaving for anywhere...
He rebuffed offers from USC, UF and others time and time again, so money doesn't seem to be much of a factor.UT needs to open up the pocket book and do whatever it takes to get this guy in Knoxville...He is the home run hire we need here...I have no doubt if the right price is reached We can grab the biggest rising star in college football...His offense would terrify SEC defenses as UGA found out last year...In 7 years he is 80-8 hmy:

He'd be a great hire, but he seems content where he is.UT needs to open up the pocket book and do whatever it takes to get this guy in Knoxville...He is the home run hire we need here...I have no doubt if the right price is reached We can grab the biggest rising star in college football...His offense would terrify SEC defenses as UGA found out last year...In 7 years he is 80-8 hmy:
Love the mans loyalty but damn 4-5 million has to be hard to turn down everytime...Not sure if he is THAT loyal or if he is waiting on the RIGHT move.
I don't think he has been offered 4-5 million. Only thing I have seen is UCLA offered him around 2.8 million/year. He was already right at 2 million. Making a public offer in the 4's would at least let the country know the man will not be leaving Boise if he were to turn it down. I just don't feel a coach like CP turning you down with a huge offer on the table is a bad thing. It would at least show UT is looking hard and willing to spend the money for the best.
Never say never. Unless you are his agent there is no way you know this. I think he entertains offers I just think people have low balled him. UCLa offered him so he does listen.0% chance he leaves. Content with building and continuing one of the nation's best and most consistent programs in Boise.

UCLA offered $4 mil per year which would've been a $1.5 mil upgrade to recruit and win in California, his home state. He never seriously considered it. I have a hard time believing he'd leave Boise for anything right now that isn't the USC or Texas jobs.
