This morning is a soft, still 67 degrees. I’m quite comfortable in a t-shirt, gym shorts, and soft shoes. My post-breakfast smoke is a CAO Pilón. Complex bold flavors for a medium body cigar. Nicaraguan filler with an Ecuadorian habano wrapper. All have been cured with the pilón process. If you’ve not tried one of these, do so.

Thinking of @Tin Man, I got a couple of these Don Carlos for my birthday in April. Celebrating making it through a Monday!

Of the five that I purchased, two burned perfectly, two had to be relit. I’ve yet to smoke the fifth. Tasty cigar, but I don’t like having to relight.

The Don Carlos reserva is a perfect cigar for me. Hope you enjoyed it.

So normally I would not go for the barber pole but since I got some freebies to try, I thought I would give a shot. Interesting result. Well constructed, good burn and draw. Flavors are lighter than I am usually going for but there was kind of the mix of shortbread with deeper tobacco flavors and lighter leather. Not grassy despite the part candela wrapper. Not earthshaking but certainly enjoyable, visually attractive and I will gladly smoke the rest.

Forgot to show off all my loot from the CI Chattanooga event. Got a gorgeous ashtray and xicar clipper from EP Carrillo and other swag from Drew and Altadis - naturally I bought some boxes.

I had that same cigar dry boxing but chose the Black Market Churchill instead.
That 660 is a really good smoke that I plan to enjoy tomorrow!

Game smoke. Trying one of these. Good flavors. Kinda reminds me of flathead 660 but a tad more refined. Not a super premium but very enjoyable.

So that is Oliva's black swan. Darn that looks tasty. A little rougher than their normal wrapper. What did you think of it?
