which for me is why they are once a year gift....one of my sons got that for me as well as a bottle of Blanton's finest....hard to beat that

I bought some unercrown with the blue and gold band. They are the maduro, medium to full flavor. I’m hoping it’s good, I haven’t tried one yet.

Would be interested to hear your take on it. I have smoked a 5 pack of the Undercrown originals and they are really tasty. Very similar in taste profile IMO to Oliva V, though not quite as refined. Very chocolaty though and a tiny bit more pepper.

Looking forward to your review on the Maduro.

Well look at what I found. My mistake, as the one I had were maduro. Very tasty IMO. Goes great with iced Kalua for after dinner desert

I go by, corona is usually a 46 ring gauge, robusto is usually 50 rg and a toro is usually 52. If you know the size of cigar it is, I you can find the ring gauge.

This is what I’m smoking tonight.




Good draw not a great draw.

Starting off, sweet, oaky with a lot of black pepper in the back of the throat and on the retro hale.

Now that the pepper has died down. A real good mixture of oak, sweet, nutty and something else that I can’t really explain. Just a real good mixture of flavor. Nice smoke. Would be really good with a bourbon that could counter act the sweet or maybe a dry red wine.this would probably go good with a dark roast coffee also.

This cigar has had an almost perfect burn line all the way into the last third.

Smoking another reserve this late morning.I couldn’t find them at a b&m so I bought a 5 pack from cigars. Com. I love these, just a really good light to medium bodied cigar. Cedar, caramel and vanilla. And maybe a hint of almond.

It they have any, the last 2 times I was in there they didn’t have any. I don’t know if people are getting them as soon as they’re put out or if they just hadn’t ordered any more.

I know you guys might think I’m stupid but I’m having this with my smoke and it’s pairing really well. I may have a weird palate but it’s really good.

Really like this cigar.



Good consistent flavor all the way, maybe a little more leather on the final 3rd and maybe a hint of cedar.

I gotta say, I have no idea how this picture goes with any My Father cigar but to each their own

Would think that would be better with something light and grassy, like a smooth Connecticut or a nice go to Macanudo Cafe Hyde Park. I find the Macanudo also nice for a hard apple cider.
