It’s fairly straightforward as to why BB gets so much attention for his racism.

He claims to be the least racist person here (something to that effect).
He makes incredibly racist posts about Clarence Thomas.

It's an ugly thing to say ... and it probably isn't fair when said about Clarence Thomas ... but the connotation isn't racist. It's basically calling a black person a "sellout" or a "traitor."

Most of the time when a black person is being called an "Uncle Tom," it is a fellow black person who is saying it.

Jalen Rose once called black basketball players, who got to Duke, such as Grant Hill, "Uncle Tom's."

I was talking about Clarence & Ginni Thomas as a couple. You’ve made comments about them in the past, the nature of their relationship. Why Clarence Thomas is with Ginni.

I can think of at least 5 that wouldn’t bat an eye coming into this thread, right now, and saying something offensive and ugly about Michelle Obama.

None of those guys try and represent themselves as some paragon of anti-racism.

Racism comes in all forms. From stupid comments and stereotypes to people not thinking the way they should according to the racist.
There’s a lot of the thought police racist among the Democrats where the stereotype comment types tend to be republican.

Maybe true, but that doesn't change the fact that few on VN care to comment negatively on Big Mike comments but are quick to claim "but the dems say this" comments when they try to call out a liberal.

I don't spend a lot of time cataloging BB's posts. I think he can be a jerk and posters jump on it while also thinking the regulars can intentionally ignore the big Mike BS.

Republicans like to believe this, but they are the party of homogeneity for a reason. Their ideology has very little appeal to anyone who isn't Caucasian, Christian and heterosexual ... and that's how they like it.

I think “cataloging” is a bit much.

Not hard to remember BB saying “Clarence Thomas is an ‘Uncle T@m’” in the Clarence Thomas thread.

I mentioned something similar to this, the other day.

I think there are two additional elements:
1) people avoiding “unnecessary” beef with people who share many of their beliefs and who will back them up and support them when they need affirmation.
2) most of us just don’t expect better from some people. Nobody is shocked by those people and most of them are immature edge lords just hoping to get a reaction.

Yes, you did ask why BB was getting so much attention for his racist remarks while others didn’t.

Nobody bats an eye when the at least 5 posters I can think of off the top of my head say something offensive. It’s just what they do.

When the “least racist person here” says something blatantly racist - that gets more attention.
