Clarence Thomas in Hot Water (Alito too!)

You do realize that two of those topics is mostly altered and put on the interwebs to fool people ready and willing to be in a cult. You must be young enough to not know the world would be just fine without the unsocial, made-up media.

Again, delete your social media, for yourself, your family, and America.
But post on message boards and take advice from strangers. If you don’t mind, at 45 years of age I’ll stay where I’m at. I’m old enough to still understand common sense is undefeated.

hahaha, obviously, common sense is not all that common.

I think for people that have marginalized themselves that much, it’s probably not necessary or beneficial to call them out. It doesn’t have any effect on their behavior, there’s nothing we can do about their presence, so it’s just virtue signaling. I don’t know that everybody here needs to signal that they’re not racist all the time. (Cc: @clarksvol00 )

It’s the same thing with right and wrong, correct and incorrect. There’s no independent arbitrator on this forum. Nobody to come in and say “this poster is objectively right, this fact objectively incorrect.” In my opinion, you have to decide what’s true, be willing to change your mind or admit your mistake when wrong, and judge other people’s credibility according to their willingness or unwillingness to do the same. Personally, I enjoy antagonizing people who won’t admit they are wrong and there is some value in that, sometimes (I laughed my ass off at some of the three ring binder stuff), but if everybody acted like me all the time, or if even just a few people always went after everybody who got stuff wrong until they conceded, the place would be somewhat intolerable. At least that’s the conclusion I came to the other day.
Honestly, I don't really care. I just found the pearl-clutching over BB using the term "attention-whore" interesting when those who regularly post offensive things get ignored.

Ya, I pick at BB a lot. I legitimately made him angry once and i still like to remind him of it. I’ve met many of the VN regulars in person and I’d bet he’d want nothing to do with meeting or hanging out with me. We don’t traditionally get along.

I say all of that to say this.
Calling someone an attention whore is absolutely NOT offensive. It’s not the same as calling them a whore. Hell I’m an attention whore.

Fair, I guess I forgot where it started. I thought the attention whore thing was trying too hard to pick at somebody.

If you still think that was about attention-whore then I don’t know what else to say.

No. The subject at hand has matured considerably, and is fixated on Michelle Obama's physical appearance at the moment.

@85SugarVol ... How about another lecture on the incivility of calling Ginni Thomas an "attention whore?"

Tag me when you we bet back to lynching the guy for the thing everyone does
