Clemson fans run on the field after every home game. Some sort of tradition so, I doubt the ACC has any penalty for it.

Not to take away from our Orange Bowl victory, but anyone watching...really watching knew they were never a threat to beat us.

Not one player can take a short pitch and take it 80 yards. Tennessee has multiple guys like that.

We start winning every game and no one rushes the field. We haven’t done that in a while; but we rushed the field and created “the moment” of ‘22. Obviously we all want winning to be a givin no matter who we are playing

Clemson board saying win out and they’re in and this game will be meaningless. You’re not getting in the playoffs with a 21 point loss to Duke and your ****** schedule.

Eh. If they’re 11-1 meaning they beat ranked FSU, ranked Notre Dame, ranked UNC, and then likely beat ranked FSU or UNC again, and Duke ends up a bowl eligible team at 6-7 wins, they’re probably ok in several possible situations as a 1-loss power 5 champ (presuming it’s not one of those years with a bunch of 1-loss non-conference power 5 champions like a 1-loss OSU/UM loser plus 1-loss-non-SEC-Champion Alabama type of year).

If Duke ends up something like a 2-4 win team though, it probably becomes a significant dagger to those hopes.

If you’re presuming them to be one of the two best overall conference records at the end of the season and UNC being the other, then sure.

(The ACC went division-less this year, so the championship game is just the 2 best conference records…I’m presuming that Wake Forest vs Pittsburgh Conference Championship Game year hit fast forward button on the ACC doing away with their divisions).

No, they’re not in the SEC. Fines for rushing the field are a policy of the SEC conference only.

If this was close, sure I could get that argument but it wasn’t. Not to say the ship won’t get righted before long for Clemson but I don’t see them beating FSU. Don’t know who else they have on their schedule but I’d go ahead and put an L in the column for that one

They’d have to beat ranked FSU, ranked Notre Dame, ranked UNC, and then presumably a ranked ranked FSU or UNC a second time to get to that mark.

…though if they do that, all 3 of those teams stay ranked, and Duke ends up as a bowl team (6-7 wins), there would be a possibility (depending on how the other non-conference-winning Power 5 teams finish re: 1-loss teams).

They don’t have a penalty for it in that conference (granted I’m fairly sure Clemson gives the other team enough time to leave the field first before they let the students run onto the field).
