The UN Climate Panel found in its latest report that hurricanes (aka tropical cyclones) haven’t increased: “Current datasets indicate no significant observed trends in global tropical cyclone frequency over the past century.”

In the 51 years from 1915, Florida and the Atlantic coast were hit by 19 major hurricanes. In the 51 years to 2016, just seven. Nope, it's because congress in all its wisdom (just to make damn sure) decided to give the floor to a know nothing and lend credence to her crowd of know nothings. Before anyone starts putting 1 and 1 together and generally coming up with something other than 2, they need to study control theory, feedback, system dynamics, dynamics and controls ... or whatever term it goes by now. How one variable affects another is often far more convoluted than appearances or simple statistics ... even if you get the coherence part right.

But yet another simple and undeniable fact is our whole entire society and way of life is built and dependent on fossil fuels. That will not change in any of our lofe times. Trump wanted to give jobs back to coal miners. Man what a terrible idea. Also, all of the scinetific consensus people use massive amounts of fossil fuels every single day.
