Before Dooley came we had a coach who had about the same amount of secondary violations as wins, and were about to go on probation. At least Dooley cut down on the black eye image of the program, and didn't have any players committing armed robberies. And the ones that did have brushes with the law he dismissed (unlike Janzen Jackson under Kiffin)
Obviously, he wasn't able to show enough improvement fast enough, so he deserves to be fired, but he conducted himself well here and gave his all for Tennessee. No need to pile on here. Just thank the guy for stepping into a situation that several other coaches turned down, giving his all, and now let's go support the next guy and hope he can get it done. It's about the success of the Vols, and I don't delight in any of the Vol family's failure. I'm a little surprised at how many seem to.
