Coach Hype Monday Presser

My point remains, but it's not fair to Banks to be speculating about some bullshiz.
I think the biggest point is the entire team seemed muted Saturday.

It wasn't the Hooker we've seen glad handing and encouraging teammates on the sidelines. He wasn't his crisp decision making self on the field either.

The defense appeared to have "one upped" aTm and fired up some alternative tobacco vapes before the game. (Just riffing..... that's nothing I've heard, just an observation of the execution)

The team was the definition of distraction. A minor fight in practice or a missing key LB doesn't account for 63 points from USCe.

Not sure why he needs transparency at all. If it has been handled and taken care of, why does he owe anyone in the media or fanbase an explanation?

I've never understood why fans have this entitlement to know everything that happens in the locker room.

If Hype says its handled and taken care of, that should be good enough for the village idiots.

I get keeping it in house. But the cat's out of the bag. From a PR standpoint, Heupel is dropping the ball. If we were told the truth on Sat night, we wouldn't be having this conversation today.

Guarantee you that when we're at 4-8, 5-7 or 6-6 and can't put butts in seats in a couple of years because they can't manage 18-22 year old personalities and egos, they're going to sweat bullets to keep their jobs.
I question your loyalty to this university's football program.

I'm not loyal because I don't expect the coach to spill his guts after a loss to placate butthurt fans that might have lost a bet, take football games personally, or are upset over getting mocked on social media. Gotcha.

Oh, and because of not being as 'transparent' enough to suit you, Heupel has now lost the team and UT is about to enter a free fall back to mediocrity. Very well thought out.

GA was a bad game.
SC was a curbstomp on both sides of the street. If all the reports are true, JB should be dismissed from the team. Rules exist for player safety and to meet team standards. If players don't want to follow the rules and give their all for TN, there are lesser programs offered thru the transfer portal. There is no ME in TEAM.

Why does such a large contingent of the fan base insist there is any cat at all, let alone a bag? Literally everyone with any access to the program has shut down this rumor out of hand.

Sometimes your team plays sh**ty. USC kept flipping the coin and that f**ker kept turning up heads time and again.

Blame in such a scenario - in most scenarios - is a waste of effort.

If we find out he was suspended for hitting Hooker too hard in a non-contact then they should be embarrassed for that leak.

Rumor has it that they they used to tell Al Wilson to take a break from practice when he was going too hard. That is typically what they do to players who are going too far, but not suspend them.

The rumors are getting more and more outlandish and the cupcakes keep being triggered.
We will never know what happened.
It sounds like Banks will be back. If he was gone then maybe the story would have come out

This, for sure.
No. The team, especially the defense, quit in protest on the coaches who wouldn't allow JB to play regardless of the circumstances. If a player doesn't want to play to TN football standards, there's always lesser, more non-competitive teams offered through the transfer portal.

We don't know if JB is gone. Heup said in Monday presser, he's working to get back on the field this week. He may or may not play. Not giving Vandy info to game plan.

We ran the ball really well that first drive. We needed to slow down our offense and pound the rock. That would have kept their offense off the field. Rattler had a Heisman campaign year at Oklahoma, so he was due a good game. It's not like he sucks and it is his first year with USC. We threw on first down almost every single time and didn't get a completion or any yards to speak of and then it became a game of thinking it was going to work next time and we couldn't run because they'd expect it.

Just tell the fan base the incident (s), spoke with all parties involved, corrective actions have been taken and issues have been resolved. Lack of transparency feeds reporter's content and fan's apprehension. End of story.

A friend who is an Oklahoma fan told me yesterday he expects Rattler to throw 3 ints and 0 TDs vs Clemson.

Who’s having a PR crisis? No one. It’s the fans running wild getting worked up. And if you think the fans on social media running wild are impacting the program or locker room, you are crazy.

If Banks is back for Vandy which Heupel all but signaled he is, things are settled. Move on. No one is losing sleep over the Banks situation more than the fans with a twitter dot com account

The defense was overmatched. They got whipped repeatedly, and then they realized they were not going to win, they quit. Not sure why you think it was some kind of protest. Even if they thought something was unfair, there was too much on the line to play soft in protest. Your theory makes no sense to me.
The protest was the defense quitting on the coaches and the offense from JB's game suspension. Seems like we're talking more about JB instead of HH. One bad apple spoils the bunch.

It's none of your business, end of story.
Can you imagine as a coach if you had some problem on your team and you think the situation is salvageable, the best thing to do would be to embarrass your players further by making it all public? Because this fan base is clearly the rational type. Vol fans just wouldn’t be the type to burn the guys down on social media.

Nothing is settled. Heup said JB is working his way back this week. Watch Mondays presser. He may or may not play. Apparently you are not a TN football fan. If you were, you would be more passionate about the coaches resolving this issue and winning.
