She could have stayed if she made some staff changes but chose not to do that. My guess is that she was told to replace her husband. That could have been awkward.

Almost all of the more plausible names are not that much on better than Kellie on better, if it all. (Heck even Kenny Brooks, if you take out his potentially fluke final four season, would not look like a homerun hore over Kellie).

Yeah, I’m like looking at my calendar for the next two weeks thinking, “I don’t have to teach this week which is good but next week I have to grade so if AD DW could just drop the hire Thursday so I can fully participate in the discourse…”

I want to thank Kellie for being a VFL, but this is the Lady Vols..Before we lost Pat, the athlete teams had good years & others that wasn’t note worthy, but you could always depend on Lady Vol basketball having a legit chance of competing for a National Championship.. We still should be the Gold standard & if after 5 years you haven’t shown that you can get us back to that, it’s definitely time to move on.. Despite these mediocre post Pat days, we are still toward the top of attendance ect, so still a place that you can recruit well, yet who is the last freshman star that we have been able to retain, & that was before this transfer portal as it exists now.. GO LADY VOLS!

Doesn’t seem legit to me either but who knows. Not sure why the AD would be worried about any of the assistants (whether her husband or not) unless he has info from players to other coaches that said assistant is just terrible at their job or not adding anything?

Not sure I agree on Brooks but he is now out anyway. DW’s history is to be attracted to rising stars. I’d certainly support that over an aging lifetime assistant. Leadership skills tend to be recognized with bigger jobs by your forties. Would love to see a Law as an assistant though.
