Too many here were happy with complacency. It’s not hard to get it. The fact we have so many on here who are borderline terrified of who we are going to hire to replace a failed coach is wild to me.
CKH is an LVFL and always conducted herself with class. I appreciate her efforts. It’s not going to be hard to upgrade contradictory to what the Kellie defenders say.
So just hypothetically, if Cora’s source told her that it was happening and she told her editor, do you think the editor would have squashed the story anyhow? I feel like we are parsing specifics on this issue. Now you're trolling. You can't want Fortier. Her hubby is her assistant.
Wait! We ran screaming piling on Jon on the day he lost his job and it turned out not to be true? No way. Yeah it was tough to leave, esp when it fit your agenda.
And of course it's Maria. I said after the last presser if she hadn't been on zoom I think Kellie would have punched her. No I think she might seek her out and do so, and she should. Maria is an embarrassment and you could see the eyes rolling everytime her name was called.
I t.hink so.I think either winning that game (didn't have to win the tourney) or winning the NCST game would have saved her.
Again, important to remember Cora has zero control over when articles run. She submits several articles, then all editorial decisions are out of her hands. So any timing conspiracies are btw AD and KNS editors.
Who's split? I think most posters feel it was time for her to go...Very sad. Hard not to say this is not a perplexing move considering the landscape of college women’s basketball. This board is split, but I guess we hope to resurrect Pat and time travel back to the early 90s (which was a fun time by the way).
In before the 2026 posts of “we should have just kept KJH”…
Hope the new coach doesn't give her access to info...But, the path forward story really did not make that much sense in hindsight. It created too many contingencies. White was either going to keep her or fire her. A "maybe if you agree to this" stipulation would have put him behind the curve.
The explanation that Maria jumped the gun on some unverified info she heard requires fewer "DaVinci Code" confabulations. She has a history...
I think this poster is referring to an "insder" post which said "Jon was non-negotiable and didn't recruit". Which everyone already knew. Not sure if they thought this tied in to the Maria fake news. Sigh. It will never go away. That is the issue. Nothing in his statement indicates that he offered Kellie a path forward.
So KJH was not given a path to stay if she made staff changes like the Tweets said? Or was the misinformation that DW wanted her to get rid of Jon? Heck I had 4 or 5 different tweets linking different stories that she had a path to stay if she wanted to stay but Jon was never mentioned. That whole story turned out to be garbage. We all got conned.....Kellie was terminated full stop.
Not that this is surprising… but still quick on the trigger here. I assume all the reports were correct that her family’s talk with DW during her early commitment was related to their preference for Harper as her coach.
My impression is that the vast majority here are hopeful that this will be a major positive turning point for the LVs. They are optimistic and excited.Very sad. Your “vast majority” is 57% on an anonymous board of mostly complainants. My impression is that the vast majority here are hopeful that this will be a major positive turning point for the LVs. They are optimistic and excited. \
I am aware of only one exception, and there are prolly a few others. I may have overlooked some. Or maybe some are on ignore. Anyway, we can all hope that they all come around when the excitement at the new coach and future are here.
That said, everyone is rightfully saddened at the news that LVFL Kellie Harper got today. She deserves respect and honor as a someone who gave her all in two different capacities.
I think the best possible outcome would be for the LVs to come roaring back under a new coach. In recruiting, development, x's and o's, above all in wins and achievements, and in every way. And that when we get there, one day Kellie is invited back during a big game and honored both for her accomplishments as a player and for her efforts and devotion as a coach. Maybe along with her class, but make a special effort to make her feel a part, and let us enjoy that she is one of us.
And they were all sourced to Maria Cornelius right. That is how disinformation spreads on the internet. A bad source gets shred many times overSo KJH was not given a path to stay if she made staff changes like the Tweets said? Or was the misinformation that DW wanted her to get rid of Jon?
