Well Texas and Oklahoma are joining next season , so that's two more teams to stress about yearly. So what is your plan if Kellie is coming back next season?
I think it will take some significant upgrades in the portal to aim for 3rd or 4th. SC will have almost everyone return, as will Ole Miss. Texas will have Harmon back and Booker. LSU may only lose Angel of their starting 5 and will probably get some transfers in. We did beat Oklahoma without Rickea in overtime, but they may return all their starters. Bama will be tough as well.Well Texas and Oklahoma are joining next season , so that's two more teams to stress about yearly.
South Carolina will be near top of rankings next season .
Texas will be strong.
Alabama has a really good incoming class
Florida should be better
LSU will just reload thru portal.
Ole Miss and State isn't going anywhere
Vanderbilt has a nice recruit incoming
Tennessee has a couple of really good players incoming and the PG coming back from injury.
So another 3rd or 4th place finish. It's all good though.
I don't think Kellie is coaching for her job either. She will return but what scenario she should start worrying though.Kellie is NOT coaching for her job.
I think it is do or die next season. Not that she has to win the SEC, but has to be ranked and would expect be huge contender for the SEC title. Should be required to lose less than 8 games JMO. Six years you should be established.I don't think Kellie is coaching for her job either. She will return but what scenario she should start worrying though.
Texas and Oklahoma joins SEC next season, according to another poster Texas brings nucleus of their team back next season. Texas HC knows the SEC and I don't want to hear this he left because he couldn't handle SEC . Texas by far is a better job than Mississippi State.
So does coming in 5th or 6th put Kellie on hot seat ? Maybe Tennessee comes in 1st in conference next year who knows.
I realize you were on break for a while, but we've discussed this here a few times. For some reason, the LVs collective is totally seperate from Big Daddy. It's basically in the hands of LV super fans who are wonderful at small events and t shirt sales. And totally dedicated. But apparently without the first clue for professional fund development on the scale needed to pay for play. You're exactly right, if they're depending on me and you to show up and paint with the girls to pay for the next Ju Ju, we are in big trouble. Not dissing those funds, they give less high profile players some pocket change. But obviously we need the Haslams
Everyone can have an opinion. It's just if you don't donate, nobody much will care.
Fully realize they'll make their own decision. But the big donors feelings on those decisions are always a factor. Again Jed C/Milburn D.
Yeah, I stated this in another thread, but the amount of losses have to start going the other direction. For four years, our losses will have increased. I’m sure there are caveats of strength of schedule, strength of conference, injuries at in inopportune times, but the perception is that we are going the wrong way in that stat. Now, for tourney finishes, we have stayed stagnant or increased our standing, which is a feather in her cap; however, having better overall seasons will only help our circumstances in finishing further in the tourney.I think it is do or die next season. Not that she has to win the SEC, but has to be ranked and would expect be huge contender for the SEC title. Should be required to lose less than 8 games JMO. Six years you should be established.
To my understanding, it is wrong. All LV sports are seperate fm Spire and under the Lady Vol Boost Her Club. We don't know why, and it's clearly not working well. LVBHC do great with event based small change NIL. They're also able to swing into action in emegency and find major individual deals, most notably the one with Mercedes last spring that kept Rickea here. Forever grateful for that. But they seem to have no clue as to sustained, big donor fund development needed to fund guaranteed salary. Why would LV BB have a separate collective? I don't think the softball team is like that. My understanding is the over-arching collective secured the funding and directed the amount of $ each sports program got for its NIL use and Spire did the NIL contracts. Is this wrong?
She’s done more than enough to feel comfortable thru her extension snsI think it is do or die next season. Very likely, particularly with the SEC getting even tougher. Realistically, this year's transfer portal is huge because without some quality reinforcements, I am not sure the LVs would have enough to be top 5 in the conferenceI think it is do or die next season. i think the folks on this forum are much more demanding than the administration. The athletic department, in my opinion, seeks only to be competitive..... upper half of the conference.
Final 4, national championship..... not vital to them unlike UCLA and ND, for instance, who always seek to be relevant and "in the mix"
