Just need one or more big money donors to give millions a year to a collective and you got your NIL money. Would have to be how you get the majority of your NIL money as small time donors probably never going to be enough. I still don't believe NIL is all of the recruiting problem, but I can certainly believe it is part of it especially with certain players.

We had recruiting problems before NIL. I’m old enough to remember the 2022 and 2023 classes.

Certainly true and why I said NIL is just part of it now. NIL certainly could play a huge factor in changing recruiting now even with the same problems existing that we had back then. I consider this staff a little slow on the draw in making contacts and even offering prospects. Sometimes a few schools already have a head start on them like LSU in the portal right now.

No, Dave Hart was responsible for the branding disaster.

Again, the “old guard“ was dead by the time they tried that in 2014. The entire fan base revolted, not a few people stuck in the past. We know you hate the Lady Vol branding, you’ve mentioned it several times. You are in the vast minority with that opinion, based on every poll the university has conducted on the topic.

Maybe you should educate yourself by speaking to current and former student athletes, many of whom fought to bring the logo and branding back because of how much it means to them personally. Because of how much it meant to them as student-athletes. You don’t care how people actually connected to the logo feel, you just want to blovate based on your incorrect opinion.

If you hate something about a school so much, maybe you should find a different school to cheer for. Based on your posting history, you never have anything positive to say about anything related to the university of Tennessee, as it is.

Another problem that is not recruiting and is more coaching is that she likes to let everybody play. We probably didn't have seven or eight that were reliable this year, but I am finding that seven or eight and they will be the ones playing the most until the game is decided. I'll swap out the starters with two or three reliable bench players, but I am not going deeper than that in games against the top competition.

When organizations are going to make changes they withhold that season ending statement of support to avoid it contradicting the later message that "they will be moving in a new direction." This is why Athletic Directors come out with statements of support of embattled coaches quickly when they don't intend to go in a new direction. They are getting ahead of the PR and publicly stating they believe in and support the current coach. This is why I said yesterday, "Watch the social media of Danny and Donde in the next 24 hours." A statement of support of the team would have indicated she's safe. Both accounts going cold is not by accident. It's by design.

Now, one can argue she isn't embattled, but trust me, Danny White has seen and heard the criticism all season long. His tweet earlier today about the Lady Vol rowing program had anti-Kellie statements in the comments. We know from the historical record, that Danny White does in fact read tweets and comments because he often replies directly to fan requests/ ideas, etc. Given that, there would be no reason for him not to come out and issue a "Congrats on the season" type of tweet if he intended to keep her. Why let speculation grow?

They may very well keep her, but I am more convinced today than I was yesterday, that there are important conversations being had behind closed doors surrounding the future of this program. I have a Masters in Organizational and Strategic Communication. In public relations, every action or inaction sends a close message. You just have to know where to look. The lack of messaging by the AD suggests there is smoke here.. and you know the saying, where there's smoke... there's 🔥

I 100% agree with you that his lack of tweet is a message but I believe you may due to your own bias being misinterpreting what that message is.

I do believe it says

I am not happy and things must change
You, CKJH will not be getting an extension this year
When you, CKJH and I talk, I will be looking for changes from you of a major nature to turn this thing around

I am not certain it means she is gone.

I believe he has been in contact with agents and others having off the record conversations about who may or may not be available. I also believe the AD staff already have a list of requirements built for the next coach and a list of those they would consider.

I believe the decision to keep/fire will be based on how he feels about timing and availability of those he may want. Timing is everything.

I believe the reason not one of the Never Fire people will answer my pleas for goalposts is because they know next year stands to be a real bloodbath then no one will question her being fired if that happens.

Here's a truth observation. I'm not a 100% Kellie backer she most likely returns, st this point I really don't care.

Saying that I've noticed some of the posters backing Kellie 100% can be found in game threads complaining about how Kellie is a horrible in game coach.
Kinda like talking out of both sides of the mouth.

Of crap. I thought kids went to college for
An education for future use in a field where
They would be employed. Not to get paid
To play sports. Jmo.

My thoughts exactly, although everytime I mentioned or said the same thing I got attacked lol.

So I said pay them all but make them pay their own Tuitions out of their NIL money..

For the record, I don't want Kellie and staff to create a truly easy schedule. That would serve only to give them early wins. Ideally, I would like to see a slightly easiER schedule at the very beginning, one that allows a more gradual increase in difficulty. FOR ONE SEASON:NEXT SEASON.

Unless the roster gets some super impressive additions through the portal, it could take a few extra games for the team to develop chemistry, and I'd rather they have a little more time to do that without having to worry about how so many early season losses could keep them out of the Tourney again. This year's team spent the entire season under heavy pressure because of too many EARLY losses.

So, yeah, just for next season, I want her to lighten up. Just a tad.

gotta know who you are dealing with the TN athletic department we are not texas a and m whoops we made a mistake with jimbo lets cut the cord no this is the "good enough" adage as long as we can show we can win more than we lose (i.e. 20 and 13) then that is perfectly fine no sense pulling hair out look how long they stayed with holly

That would certainly help but the big question is: how important is the LV BB program to the " big money donors' to give that kind of $. I'm not sure it carries that much weight. Understand the LV sports have their own collective separate from the one for the men's sports which I believe is part of the NIL $ problem for Kellie.

No LV coach will be able to get the elite players without NIL $ and I don't know how much of this LV collective is available to Kellie. You know she used NIL for keep Rickea and probably get Spear. Was that all she had?

times have changed,,,and they still get the education,, but now an income too.

And what employee doesn't look/isn't looking for a better income?
The only employee not looking for a better income is the one who loves/does their job and where they are and don't want to jeopardize a good thing.

Same's true in recruiting and basketball,,,if a kid is getting what they need, like the employee,,they won't look for money, they are getting what they want and won't jeopardize it for a dollar more.

Where we have to aim is higher than "those who want to make an NCAA tourney in their lifetime",,to "those who can win one in their lifetime".
And to do this you have to have a team of stars and a super star or two,,,not just one SS (though great she is)
