I am a college athlete! Money has ALWAYS been in college sports ! I have always called them the sachele man ( the one with the briefcase full of money )! I competed during the 60–70’s and I know for a fact it was going on then ! Just saying.
Not sure it’s confusion. Although the money influence comes from a select few, the Tennessee brand is millions. You can discredit posters here, Twitter etc as having influence but they are the ones buying the tickets, LVBC donations, kids going to camps, doing meet and greets, buying the concessions etc. One of these programs/coaches isn’t like the others…that’s noticeable influence.
If UT is so far behind NIL wise compared to those like USCjr, how did they compete with them? So if NIL had brought better players than the last 1.1 seconds of the last USCjr game would have had a different results.
Duly Noted.
Based on the number of followers, again one of these isn’t like the others. A quick glance and WBB is drastically behind…football (expected), men’s basketball, baseball and softball. That’s a problem for the program that elevated the game.Again, this poster was specifically the much ballyjhooed "blue hairs" who presumably control the UTAD when it comes to women's athletics. As DeerPark pointed, those original deep pocket supporters of the LVs (from way back in the 70s) are pretty much all gone and the UTAD is now radically different from even the Cronin era. Anyone with sense also knows that Xitter is not a representative sample of anything or any one.
Agree, there are always multiple ways to interrupt data. But if that is your interpretation then she owns the last 1.1 seconds and she owns the performance against a NC State team that is nowhere the talent as USCjr.Hmm, one interpretation is that we have a heck of a coach who is battling mightily against the talent gap.
Yahtzee! Can’t have it both says.Agree, there are always multiple ways to interrupt data. But if that is your interpretation then she owns the last 1.1 seconds and she owns the performance against a NC State team that is nowhere the talent as USCjr.
But the NIL crowd has consistently said NIL is underfunded and that is why this team can’t compete with big guys.
People have to pick a story and stick with it………………..

Real world: two things can be true. Poor Kellie absolutely owns every agonizing close but not quite moment this devastating year delivered. And also owns credit for getting a vastly under talented/under achieving team to that threshold. And holding them together as a cohesive unit.Yahtzee! Can’t have it both says.

If I live to be 1000, I will never understand the absolute glee of the gravedancers. Just me I guess, but my overwhelming feeling in all this is sympathy for two women: Kellie and Rickea. The queens of shoulda, coulda, woulda. Doesn't mean any part of any of it is not their faults, but both also got royally screwed by the universe this season.
Giving her another year is repeating the same thing we did with Butch Jones after 2016. Just delaying the inevitable. I guess we’re going to wait for her to ruin the tournament streak next year.
I’m afraid that is where we are headed. Especially if she doesn’t relax the schedule a little. I’m not a fan of the complete patty cake schedule LSU plays. But I HATE how Kellie schedules. She counts her chickens before they hatch and sets them up for a total bruising the first two months of every season. It’s demoralizing, starts the season on the wrong foot, and immediately pisses off the fan base.
Last several seasons we have dropped out of the top 25 in the first month of the season due to her scheduling. It’s assign to repeat that same mistake over and over. Especially with her record against ranked teams being what it is (awful).
I think we need to stop with scheduling a ranked team at their place almost right off the bat like Ohio State last year and Florida State this year. I get we are trying to get some homecoming games like Ohio for Jordan. Save those types of games for later in the OOC.It seems like the last two years…. People getting hurt have affected our play more so than the opponent? Losing key..Horston .. Jackson, She needs to plan on the leaders not playing and scheduling accordingly.
Complete and utter b.s. Or else you're unaware of the complete off the court shambles the program was in under Holly. I know culture stuff doesn't win trophies, but it is important. And Holly let that get away from her to an alarming degree. Kellie restored that heroically. Doesn't mean she'll keep her job, but let's give credit where credit is due.All we really asked of Kellie was “be better than Holly” and she can’t even do that.
Be fair. And due to the small matter of Rickea's injury. But I do agree, if the scheduling doesn't ease up next year it is crazy.Last several seasons we have dropped out of the top 25 in the first month of the season due to her scheduling
