I have nothing against Deon, I think he is a good coach. It is still too early to say he is a great coach. He may be, he might just be a good one. So far he gets a solid grade, but extremes are ruling the narrative. In reality Colorado could easily be 1-2 and Deon in my eyes would still be doing a good job considering what he took over which was bad. Even if they were 1-2 they competed in all them games enough to know they could have won. But by winning and going 3-0 the full blown hype train was in effect. They way Deon looked at it and rightfully so is riding this only helps our players confidence so I am riding it. The reality is Colorado is somewhere in between now, they are better but they aren’t near the top yet. Will Deon get them there, maybe. I do think he will make them better but can he establish year to year consistency in the top 10-15 and how long will it take him. How long will he stay at Colorado after his son leaves for the NFL. We won’t know these answers until a few years go by. Some don’t like him, some don’t think he can do know wrong. The media is going to be the media they want drama. Only time will tell. Folks are too quick too judge on both sides, and the ultimate answer probably lies somewhere in between great and bust. I do personally think he will make Colorado better, but not ready to say they will be great or a dynasty either. I am much more interested in my Vols than too care about anybody else to much. GBO
