Coach Prime

Couldn’t care less about Colorado. Or their coach. Fact is, regardless how one feels about TCU, they made the playoffs. Vols didn’t. You should check that stick up your tailpipe.

Just kidding. Not. 🤣

Still not sure I understand why you feel the need to hate "our" Vols of last season and covet my "tailpipe" to prop up TCU in the Deion Sanders thread? Trolls gonna troll though

If you know anything about Deion he’s never humbled..this was expected by everyone who wasn’t on the Prime Train. The person who needs to be humbled the most is his kid, wearing a $10k watch during warmups is ridiculous.

No problem with it. His dad is worth millions.

I understand what you’re saying, but you realize there’s a difference in recruiting at Colorado and stepping into the shoes of that program in Athens like Kirby did? Put Kirby in year one at Colorado and he’s not getting 80 portal guys and flipping a roster. I do think recruiting is his strongest ability but that’s not difficult to do at a Georgia program that’s had longer stability than even Bama.
I doubt Kirby would be slimy enough to flip the roster the way Sanders did.

You can't say anything critical on social media about the way Colorado played yesterday, without being called a jealous hater, who is afraid of the program that Deion Sanders is building. It's ridiculous.

Nice comprehension skills there. At no point in my post did I mention the Vols. Now if you are butthurt because Colorado is not as good as Jesse Palmer keeps telling you I'm sure there are support groups for that.
Agreed Jessie should join that group, and not be a homer

Do you really expect that a coach stepping into a program worse than Vandy should just take the prior coach’s team out of loyalty when he has the option to trade up? That’s not unethical and keeping those guys is not a strategy to stay employed.

I don’t know what Kirby would do but he doesn’t seem to hang on to players who don’t perform the best when he’s got other options at UGA so why would he do otherwise at a different school? We’re talking about a guy who doesn’t punish players for speeding even though it killed two people associated with the program. Not exactly great evidence that he wouldn’t take the better player given the option.

He'd have run them until they turned green 90 times but if they did all that was asked they'd likely stll be on the team.
Do you have a personal relationship with him or have you asked him? Kirby has never been in that spot because he coached at Bama and then Georgia and has never been in a desperate need of talent once in his career.

Time will tell, my guess the nfl will call
Because Colorado football is and will always be mediocre at best.
Jerry o4 someone else will call and halftime will be puking the sale narrative else w her3

I feel like our guy would be a solid NFL coach because he’s a player’s coach and a play caller at heart.

Deion is also a player’s coach but his expertise is getting guys to come play. That’s the most important skill in college but mostly useless in the league. He also lets his coordinators do their thing. I would say that is more of the skill set you see in a great college coach like Saban and Kirby. Not sure his skills are best used in the league.

You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken $hit.

Deion inherited 1-11 talent, realized it, and upgraded the roster.

I don’t get why he’s being criticized for this.

Lol. Yes Colorado is better this year. Calling TCU a playoff team is as laughable this year as it was last year
You do realize typing nonsense doesn’t make it have any meaning? They not only made the playoff- they beat the #2-ranked team. So saying they aren’t a playoff team when they were just in it just makes you look foolish.

And you can’t acknowledge that Deion improved CU over last year, and exceeded expectations less than five weeks into the season without being accused of claiming he’s the greatest CFB coach since Knute Rockne.

I have nothing against Deon, I think he is a good coach. It is still too early to say he is a great coach. He may be, he might just be a good one. So far he gets a solid grade, but extremes are ruling the narrative. In reality Colorado could easily be 1-2 and Deon in my eyes would still be doing a good job considering what he took over which was bad. Even if they were 1-2 they competed in all them games enough to know they could have won. But by winning and going 3-0 the full blown hype train was in effect. They way Deon looked at it and rightfully so is riding this only helps our players confidence so I am riding it. The reality is Colorado is somewhere in between now, they are better but they aren’t near the top yet. Will Deon get them there, maybe. I do think he will make them better but can he establish year to year consistency in the top 10-15 and how long will it take him. How long will he stay at Colorado after his son leaves for the NFL. We won’t know these answers until a few years go by. Some don’t like him, some don’t think he can do know wrong. The media is going to be the media they want drama. Only time will tell. Folks are too quick too judge on both sides, and the ultimate answer probably lies somewhere in between great and bust. I do personally think he will make Colorado better, but not ready to say they will be great or a dynasty either. I am much more interested in my Vols than too care about anybody else to much. GBO

Yes, but it's all from the portal. He isn't recruiting anything out of high school.

As of right now, per 247sports.com, Colorado has the #75 ranked class in the Class of 2024 Composite Football Team Recruiting Rankings.

Colorado currently has a grand total of 8 high school players committed from the Class of 2024.

This is their class breakdown :

(0) Five Stars
(3) Four Stars
(5) Three Stars
(8) Players

I can't imagine the frogs that would rain down from the heavens on VolNation, if we were ever this low in the composite team rankings, with 2 1/2 months until the early signing period. Deion is obviously counting on replenishing his roster solely from the portal. That is a risky gambit. I don't think it is sustainable in the long run. Eventually, he is going to have to start recruiting some high school prospects. That will require a greater knack for talent evaluation, than what is needed to poach players with film from other Power 5 programs.

^^^^ If anyone dares to point any of this ^^^^ out on social media right now? You will be assailed with accusations of jealousy and hater-ism ... You might even get called a racist. There is a hostile undercurrent to the subject of Colorado football at the moment.
