Coach Z

I know I will get bashed but if coach Z leaves I say butch goes and offers Tee. Bet he won't turn us down again and he might have some recruits up his sleeve. Let's hope for the best, we deserve it. It's been a long horrible road

I wouldn't bash you at all. Bottom line is that you have to go all in with CBJ and any hires or fires he might make. However, he decided to play her "music" during the games, I might have to reconsider. Can you imagine that on the Jumbotron?

ZA likes to move around so I wouldn't be surprised to see him leave if offered.

COACHING EXPERIENCE
» 2013-present: Tennessee, recruiting coordinator, wide receivers
» 2012: Wisconsin, wide receivers
» 2011: Western Kentucky, offensive coordinator, wide receivers
» 2010: Florida, passing game coordinator, wide receivers
» 2007-09: Central Michigan, asst. head coach, wide receivers
» 2003-06: Bowling Green, wide receivers
» 2001-02: Bowling Green, GA, offense
» 1999-2000: Valparasio, wide receivers

Don't think they will see him as qualified for a respectable head coaching job like this. I wouldn't. It seems like his next step up in the coaching circle would be a middle of the road program as offensive coordinator.

Heard Tee is looking to move back and is in the middle of a divorce. He does have a buyout but that depends on Sarkisian's play as new head coach at USC when he gets there

Jeff Monken was never an OC before Georgia Southern hired him however they were an FCS school at the time. Starting in 2014 they will be an FBS school and a member of the Sunbelt conference. They are sinking a lot of money into the program so maybe they would want a more established coach this time around. Monken made less then $300,000 as their head coach. I'm guessing the new coach will get quite a bit more then that.

Who knows? He was being greedy the first go around but situation has changed as he wants to be here and second ex wants to stay there so...which coach would make room for him is the question.

Damn straight. We need Thig to Thig so pay him big....hell, cut some of Azzani's salary and give to Thig. Let's pass the VolNation hat if we gotta...

Always refreshing to read these types of threads. The volnation contingent believing (and you honestly trick yourself into thinking you really do know) they know the depth of the quality of an assistant coach. You know, because we are in the film room listening to his instruction, at practice listening to his instruction, having in-depth conversations with him about X's and O's strategy.....oh wait. Believing that you actually have the resources of information gathered to assess that he is not a very good WR coach is hilarious.

Naaah, I just watch the WR play on Saturdays. Why bog down on details, when results will do. Lol.

Nah, just noticed that none of his guys could get remotely open vs Vandy's (which was the 11th game of the season) second string DBs. He may be a fantastic Xs and Os coach, motivational coach, technique coach Sunday thru Friday .....it didn't translate to Saturdays IMO. I'm not in the film room, on the practice field, in the facilities....none of us are. He didn't get results from his WR Corps, plain and simple.

You think Z coached them to drop balls??? You guys are hilarious!! Think North got any better, or even Croon for that fact. Gee what he had was young and you need to give it time. Last thing we need is for him to leave and start over!! You might want to check with OC also as he calls plays for receivers to run to get open. Heard all yr about them looking good in practice, but haven't brought to game. IMO that's youth not coach in 1st year. If you don't see big improvement next yr then flame away, but give guy more than 1 yr!!

I don't understand bashing Z. He had an extremely young WR group who didn't have a QB that could get an accurate pass to them. Players and recruits love the guy. Lets stop pushing good assistants out the door.
