That is out there because we want to believe it took a long time to put together the video. That’s unlikely the case. Then you add that some have said White has been working on his top guys for weeks, and there’s certainly enough time for that video to be inclusive of all needed events.

Fulmer should have been the first to go, with an unceremonious exit. The department is going to get hammered for lack of institutional control, which is much more an AD thing than HC. I guess they don’t call it the Fulmer Cup for nothing.

And since it’s public information now, the NCAA is cornered into coming down hard.

Most of his info is legit, but I do think we're getting deep enough into the search that his source has been mostly shutout and is not giving him anything but potentially true information, if that makes sense? He has definitely hit his credentials, all of his information from December to last week was as close to 100% as you can get. But now with White in charge, you notice some of it is more speculative, and even Fumbles will admit to such. This is more in line with White than it is Fumbles lying to us; and this is why I've come to the conclusion that everything we're hearing is hearsay and we just need to be patient and wait. White has the athletic department on lockdown, and we just aren't used to that.

It was Franklin Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and today. They’ve believed it’s been wrapped up since Sunday night, but taking steps forward has stalled more than once. This is the only real offer that has been made. We did not offer Dykes, Fleck or anyone else. Based on past conversations, I still think Elliot is 2. I don’t know that as a fact. They had hoped to have a team meeting last night, then this morning. There is not currently anything on the schedule for this afternoon either. That doesn’t sound good if you like the idea of Franklin. That said, my friend says they’ve been agreed on general terms since Sunday. He has no idea why it hasn’t crossed the finish line. Everything he’s heard is that it’s Franklin, but nothing is moving in a way that indicates the normal next steps. It could just be slowly moving forward or coming off the rails. My friend says it’s Franklin until he hears otherwise.

Here’s some confirmation on Franklin deal from Callahan, which fell apart. You’ll see it’s consistent with the deal terms etc that I mentioned before. My friend says there barrier was always the investigation unknowns, but I assume they countered too. Don’t know.

“Tennessee offered Franklin pretty big money. His current salary is $5.5 million per year, and it’s safe to say Tennessee’s discussions with him involved a salary at least in the $7 million to $8 million range. We’ve heard more about it possibly being $8 million a year, although I can’t say for certain that that’s accurate.”
