The contact has seemed very plugged in. Very complimentary of Elliott! Doesn't like losing him, but realizes it is a natural progression. This contact is very loyal to Clemson, but has a warm spot for the Vols.I have a contact on a private Clemson board that says Elliott has been offered and that he will accept. This contact is a long-time donor. We'll see if this holds true.
AD wanted someone he "trusts unequivocally". Elliott seems to check that box better than most. He seems like the opposite of Pruitt is most ways, which should be a good sell for the fanbase. I feel like he will be someone we warm up to more over time, rather than the simply tolerate types.Supposedly our new AD likes him some Elliott so wouldn't be a big surprise.
That's almost a cut and paste of one of his posts from the last searches that ended with Pruitt. From AtlantaVol: An optimistic take on the same set of data:

Let’s see 400 or so pages behind...won’t be able to catch up and don’t have much time been quite busy since sat. Everything is still progressing as planned. Don’t let any of this smoke from anyone in the media fool you. Everyone has an agenda. And so do we. DW knows EXACTLY what he is doing. This will wrap up quickly...negotiations and papering deals of this magnitude don’t just happen quickly especially when you are talking about the state our program is in. Be patient and be positive. I have been asked to respect the privacy of this search and I will...protecting that process makes us a better program long term.
Yikes, is it really? I'm not going to lie. With all this talk about how much of a pro DW is, if he rolls out Dykes or somebody of that caliber onto the stage...well...I don't have to tell you what will be trending #1 on Twitter shortly afterwards. That's almost a cut and paste of one of his posts from the last searches that ended with Pruitt.
I may get some hate, but I personally think he’s full of it. If he’s a high up booster with that much sway, he’s not coming in Vollnation, a free forum, to share insight like this. The rich and powerful at UT are in their own bubbles, they aren’t going to risk that bubble bursting just to give information to the fans. That's almost a cut and paste of one of his posts from the last searches that ended with Pruitt.
