Yep.... you ought to see all the non-UT folks on their chats making us the laughing stock and butt of their jokes. What makes it sadder are the UT fans that add to that.... What non-conference school did we play first and beat in September 2012--the players were hyped and ready? Then what SEC schools did we beat afterwards in 2012--HC had no clue, and the players had no subsequent leadership? Give the man a chance people!

I think this is a very smart move. He's a winner and turned down two jobs in hopes he gets ours. Hart also couldn't risk getting turned down anymore for the program and the image of the program to recruits. Butch seems to be a good recruiter so far, let's see how that translates in the SEC. #vfl

any coach worth his weight should slay it as a recruiter here.

My one and only post regarding this hire. 1) He got killed by Tennessee but that was only one flipping game out of his career 2) It does NOTHING for Tennessee to sit around and piss and moan about this hire. Whether we like it or not, he is our coach. Stand behind him...at least for now.

Jones could hire some kick ass assistants. After freeing up all that money we could get some good ones.

If he's the choice so be it. I don't agree, but its unfair to the guy to blast him if he's hired. You're just making his job harder. get behind him and see what happens. No other choice unless you weren't a UT fan to begin with.

i dont know this is a interesting hire the d coordinator will determine this one anybody talking about how he lost to dooley. yea he did when we had justin hunter 100% and all conference best darick rogers and bray with his full arsenal. so yea alot of ppl would have lost to. Coaches from Ohio are pretty good and maybe he will do what every coach in the sec knws recruit Memphis. Dodson(Ole Miss) is a beast from Whitehaven state champs Darius Sims(Vanderbilit) is a play maker and multitude of other players go out of state its crazy.It seems Franklin got the memo and look at vandy now. If our guys our kept in state it would be interesting

CBJ is a much better coach than Dooley. CBJ has won everywhere he has been and will win here. He has also had more recruits than dooley/staff last year and this from the state of FL.

Vols are in good hands, lets just try not to work against the guy.

I think you guys should be happy with the hire. You can joke about the other programs that wanted him, but if you stop for bit and look at it realistically, I think you'll see it was a good hire under the circumstances and given the stature of the Tenn. job. Now you guys can get back to recruiting and get away from Tenn. getting dragged through the mud.

When Cbj is introduced today, please do not come back afterward and tell us what a great coach he will be because of his press conference. We have been down this road before. I am sure I am wasting my breath as there will be several threads on this, i.e. "Did you hear his presser? He will be the greatest coach ever."

Should Jones get credit for his success at Cincinnati or should we attribute some of it to Brian Kelly building up that program?
