Michigan State was the consensus numner one team when Lucas got hurt? I must not have paid much attention this year.Yes it can, and by the way, Cincy got their shot, may have been without their best player but they had their shot, just like MSU has had their shot without their best player and they are taking advantage of it.
Lucas is not as good as Martin, not saying that, be he was still MSU best player.
Happens all the time.
Awesome. So it's okay for someone to cheat on his wife. That doesn't make him slime. Yet when someone cheats in basketball to essentially put food on the table for his family he is slime. That is a double standard.
Also Pearl taped a 17 year old kid unknowingly so he can rat out a program...A lot of people would consider that "slimy."
Didn't you hear? We are only supposed to have standards for coaches at other schools. We're not supposed to care that our coaching is a philandering jackass. We're not supposed to ask how on earth UT got Ramar Smith into school with his Crayola transcript. We're not supposed to wonder why Daniel West's transcript and test scores, which were coming from a school with which Tony Jones has done business for years, got flagged and ultimately invalidated. We're supposed to believe Pearl is the last honest man in college basketball. Him signing Tobias Harris is simply about his sheer awesomeness as a recruiter and has nothing to do with Tony Jones' relationship with folks in Detroit who are "close" to Harris's father and George Gervin. This proves my point. Yet, people defend Pearl to no end even though he cheated on his wife and ratted out a program.

Yeah, I love "well known" stuff. It lets people who actually know nothing feel important.

It's a well known fact in Memphis Calipari had a woman on the side.
How is Pearl "cheating on his wife" any more credible than Calipari "having a woman on the side" ? Im pretty sure neither one of these things have ever been in the news. If you wanna denounce one as rumor, you must denounce both. You cant possibly say one is true and the other false since there is no real facts supporting either, only rumors.
Pearl's infidelity is fact and is in writing.

What does that have to do with price of tea in china? Kentucky has a tradition of cheating back to the 40's.
Death Penalty from point shaving scandal in the 40's
Rupp
Eddie Sutton
Joe B Hall
Calipari
It's a tradition.
Where exactly is this documented in writing? A search of "bruce pearl adultery" or " bruce pearl cheats on his wife" returns such credible sources as underscorebleach.net, blog.kentuckysportsradio.com, and zachls.blogspot.com. If you consider these as sources with any amount of credibility then i guess you are right, LOL.
And he'll still stay at least one step ahead of the morons who have decided to turn the greatest postseason format in all of sports into an "everyone plays" tournament.
Just pointing out that cheating on your wife to some is nothing, yet associating with the most powerful man in basketball is slime.
This has been said by many on here who probably didn't even have a clue whether Calipari was married not.

That's beside the point. He cheated, was caught, and paid the consequences. Defend him or not, it is a fact that he is a cheater. Whether or not you choose to acknowledge that, it's still a fact.
