Colin Kaepernick sits during national anthem

His whole pitch is America is not great. He claims the country is horrible and needs fixing. His whole shtick is to crap on the country.

No, his whole shtick is common sense...he wants to rid excrement that is bringing this country down.

For you newbs that know no better..

It doesn't matter if he is oppressed or not. He said he has had it good. He is "standing up for others". Why does his standing in society de-legitimize his position? Does Trump's success de-legitimize his complaints?

Then why are white people constantly told they can't comment on the issue? Why are they constantly told that they will never understand because they are white? How is this any different? Does Kaepernicks half black genetic code automatically include the knowledge of oppressed experiences? BLM and it's supporters constantly trip over hypocrisy in various subjects. They have zero legitimacy.

I agree that cops involved in a questionable shooting should not be paid. This guy lived the college life, and pro for several years now. I think he's seen a lot, and just doubt his intention. We'll see how he reacts when it's official that he's not the starter, or gets cut. If he cries it's because he took a stand, then that was his plan imo.
Cops should 100% be paid on leave until the investigation is over. Anything else will reduce the quality of the investigation. These officers have Financials and families. If you were accused of making a malicious mistake at work and you felt you did not, would you honestly accept going on unpaid leave until they investigate fully? I wouldn't be down with that.

Kaepernick is apparently a Fidel Castro lover too.

Hey, has there been a D4H spotting in here the last day or so? I seriously want to know if he is a black nationalist and what that means to him.

D4H, if you are still in this thread, are you a black nationalist? If so, what does that mean to you? Do you support a "black homeland" in this country, like Malcolm X, the Nation of Islam, and the New Black Panther Party? Or do you support something like Garvey's repatriation project? In other words, do you think a black homeland can only exist in a "Back to Africa" campaign?

Trump has nothing to do with the conversation. Lets stick with what CK said.

This thread is about Kaepernick and the things he said. I am not talking about BLM and neither is he. I am not talking about whites not being allowed to comment (wtf did that come from?) and neither is he.

Are you still taking nominations for those end of year awards?

How is he not talking about BLM? BLM is based on police brutality to the people of color in the US. BLM and it's supporters consistently tell white people to get to the back, tell them that rallys are closed off to white people, tell them that they can't comment on the issues because they aren't black as a disturbingly common argument when dialogue is attempted. Don't be dense, you know damn well where it comes from and you know it occurs.

I heard enough before I puked. What were is good points?

Did he bring up black on black crime being the biggest violent problem for the black community?

Did he bring up the lack of responsibility and accountability among the black community?

One of the good points he made was when was critical of Hillary in one of the interviews. He pretty much said what does this country stand for when a candidate for president should be in jail. I don't have an answer for why the media I leaving that part out though:)

Has anybody watched the full 6-minute CK interview where he clarifies his position?

You may not agree with his actions and you may not even agree with his position, but I don't think anybody can disagree with what he is saying are the reasons he has adopted this position. He made very good points.
His method is idiotic. More than that it is insulting. **** him.

I don't disagree at all with his rights to do what he did, it's America. I do stil say that the timing is the problem for me. He's never had an issue with it through college, or while he was the clear cut super star qb. However, everybody has been reporting he's about to lose his job, and now he has a problem? So if he gets cut later, he'll cry it was because he stood up for minority's and his beliefs. Jmo
Kind of sounds like the Mizzou football team.
